The dems have not even charged the president of committing a specific crime and they have submitted no evidence of any crime.
The accused does not have to present any exculpatory evidence nor does he have to prove his innocence.
No crime, no case.
The senate should just dismiss it.

I have recently become of the mind that no further evidence should be presented other than what was submitted by the house.
Prove your charges.

Send the signal that any future efforts like this will be dismissed just as quickly.
The Dems are in charge of the impeachment process. If he wants to hear from these witnesses he still has time to get them on record before the impeachment is voted on.
Chuck has lost his mind. He made statements that are totally false.
The latest attempt is in the accompanying documents in the House Articles of Impeachment written by Schifty Schitt, and Nadless Nadler. They are claiming that no matter what President Trump said in his phone calls to President Zelensky and Ambassador Sondland, it was wire fraud, punishable under Federal Wire Fraud statutes by 20 years imprisonment.
They are certifiably insane.

Chuckie is attempting to continued the farce that the House RATs just cooked up.
First they go around accusing him for a week of this and that. The next week they start claiming he’s been proven guilty of all the accusations. We’ve seen this playbook over and over. It just gets worse every time they use it.

Day 1 dismiss the charges for lack of crime and abuse of process in the House.
Then spend the rest of January holding hearings Ukraine corruption and the Bidens with those two subpoenaed to appear.
Democrats operate by Soviet rules. Innocence must be proven. The crime is not being a Democrat.
First, the Senate should wait until the Republicans in Congress have their hearing scheduled and have had all of the witnesses they wish to subpoena to testify under oath—including Adam Schiff (with his phone records and tax returns), the whistle-leaker, and the Bidens—so Americans can learn what this is really about and the guilty parties can be held accountable.
THEN... the Senate should dismiss the charges against the president.
Better yet, send it back to the House as “incomplete without charges & evidence”, and make them provide proof and evidence.
Just dismiss? Then we’ll have to endure the feigned outrage over the cover up by the Republicans.
NOTHING will ‘change’ till people start doing time or at least till we start tar & Feathering them.
Stock time and the Dunking Chair also good for starters.

If ‘you are wrong’, you are going to jail for your ‘sins’ no matter if you R or D.
This is all smokescreen. The tactic is to distract the Trump Reelection Committee and the American voters for the next 11 months until the election hoping they can sneak in one of their exceptionally weak candidates while everyone is looking the other way. Why else would they be forcing this non issue?
