Democratic lawmakers on Capitol Hill say local police who do not enforce gun control measures likely to pass in Virginia should face prosecution and even threats of the National Guard.
After November's Virginia Legislature elections that led to Democrats taking control of both chambers, the gun control legislation proposed by some Democrats moved forward, including universal background checks, an “assault weapons” ban, and a red flag law.
Legal firearm owners in the state, however, joined with their sheriffs to form Second Amendment sanctuary counties, which declare the authorities in these municipalities uphold the Second Amendment in the face of any gun control measure passed by Richmond.

Democrats do not crack down on real criminals or gangs....they go soft on criminals and gangs so they multiply and harass citizens....in the hopes that citizens beg the Democrats for salvation from the criminals by giving up their money and power.

So they are going to prove lawful gun owners correct by using the threat of government gun violence to steal away the Constitutional rights of citizens.
Perhaps the government should have no right to threaten citizens by pointing guns at them. Take the guns away from crazy politicians.

Good thing about deputizing the citzenry is Title 2 (NFA) guns on LEO ATF Form 10s for everyone! Yippee! (I'll pay for an M240 please, Sheriff).
Supply ammo, food and give sanctuary across state lines where Virginia cannot reach them.
Help arm them and for those who are able-bodied, go to their side and fight with them.
Virginia residents who cannot fight, join the other side and provide useful intel. They will spy on us, we can do the same.
But the key must be to take out the leadership and cut the head of the snake off. Do not get caught up in fighting those sent against the citizenry.

Also, what will cloud a guard’s decision is the potential dishonorable discharge and loss of benefits, sorta like with LEOs, who have never turned down a red flag raid.
This is why the public needs guns on par with the military.

You’re right, and that approach puts tremendous pressure on them. They face a very tough decision. Try to remain incognito, hoping that friends and neighbors don’t let it out that they are un-American and helped pass un-Constitutional laws...or go conspicuous with a large security detail - that just marks them as someone who knows they’ve done wrong and are trying to hide from the consequences.
Translation of the above paragraph: We are going to have fight and perhaps die or die without fighting. If we are going to fight, it should be on our terms where there is at least a chance of survival. If we wait and fight on their terms, there will be no chance of survival, only the opportunity to die as men and women. A governor can call the Guard out for state active duty, but he cannot “nationalize” it.
