Culpepper County, VA It looks like what Virginia gun owners needed was a wake up call. Or more accurately, a wake up slap in the face.
Ever since Bloomberg bought himself a blue Virginia and stacked it with eager anti-gun legislators, weve told you how the state is on fire with pro-gun rights sentiment.
County after county has joined the Second Amendment Sanctuary list, totaling 42 counties in less than six weeks.
Add one more sheriff to the list of Second Amendment heroes.
Sheriff Scott Jenkins of Culpepper County, VA made a post on his official county Facebook page pledging to support the Second Amendment. In the post made on December 4th, Jenkins went so far as to say that he has a strategy if gun control comes knocking:
I plan to properly screen and deputize thousands of our law-abiding citizens to protect their constitutional right to own firearms.

Cool gif.
Finally some good news for a change. I wonder if the VA governor will take any time off from his Klan parties to try to censure this sheriff.
He could give all in his jurisdiction the right to new M4s at list price (NFA registration & tax applies).
Read the exception in 922(o). One letter, copied for each, done.

Yes! When half the state won’t follow the radical dems disarmament law, what will he do and will his police enforcers follow orders?
This is what we need
These Leftist tyrants don’t consider the possibility that a free people might push back against their usurpations of the Bill of Rights.
I was in Captain Midnight’s Secret Squadron in the early to mid 1950s thanks to TV. Does that improve my chances of being deputized? Lost the badge and ring, though.
He will fail.
Now, by God, THIS is what I’ve been calling for! Run circles around theses anti-2A types, and deputize the citizenry, or have governors activate a reserve state militia. Some states have volunteer militias already, and act as backups to the local Guard units when they’re called up during a disaster or military action. I might be gimpy and long in the tooth, but I can still rock a keyboard one weekend a month to pitch in.
Common-sense good-hearted get-it-done type mentality like this is what we need. Yes I agree. I want to move there.
Yeah, legally a Va sheriff has only the powers the state gives him.
Bur, polticaaly, it’s a different story.
Precisely.
Ikky, is that you?

Sheriffs generally have more power in their locals than state police, and they will be vastly outnumbered by “deputies” who would be authorized to arrest them. Fun times.
