I agree with ALL of this HOWEVER who in the HELL ELSE are we going to use in the Middle East HELL HOLE for intel etc. I WANT our troops home there are always going to be these jihadi radicals BUT what the hell are we supposed to do stay there FOREVER!!!
To answer your question as to why a Saudi Air Force officer would be training at a Naval Air Station, the answer is simple:
If he was a backseater (WSO/CSO) for the F-15E Strike Eagle that the RSAF flies, then his WSO/CSO training would be at NAS Pensacola since the USAF moved all of it’s backseater training there.
NASP has Ground School, and nearby Whiting Field has Primary Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing.
Thus, this guy may have been in Ground School (attended by future pilots, Naval Flight Officers, Flight Surgeons, and some others).
Pack him in a barrel of bacon fat and ship the barrel to his family.
They still train at Shepard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX as well. Not as part of Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training (ENJJEPT) but under the Military Sales Act.
Hmmm... Reminds me of the Sheriff’s Dept. at Parkland High School.
Surprise surprise surprise
How soon before discover he was another known wolf ?
Dr. Nidal Hasan YET still lives for his obamaumao declared “workplace violence”. Not “confirmed jihadi martyrdom”-— with plenty of warning.
This guy’s naval aviation “training” is part of the sales contract for aircraft.
[And we meet on letting the filth in, we learned NOTHING from 9/11..nothing]
Except we allow folks like this in while regular Americans can’t survive or work in many cases. I gave up on a low-level clerk job after giving the gov’t (a copy of) my birth certificate, etc. No criminal offenses at all. Yet it just dragged on and on and on. I figured it was going nowhere after weeks and weeks. Everything got turned upside down after 9/11.
Those whose lives were changed significantly after 2008 know exactly what I’m talking about. I hear from a few of them, from time-to-time.
Somebody did someTING!
We also have ground Naval Air installations and aircraft. Like the poster above said, if we sell the aircraft, training goes with it. Although I would like to see our sales of arms reduced, the military complex needs to stay viable for our own defense.
Keep in mind, we don't include our most advanced avionics, and it's long known we have a back door into the systems we do sell. Plus, no one trains on our same equipment as much as we do. Think Russia.
Because they need to learn to fly the aircraft we sell them? Weve had allied students at our military schools since the end of WWII.
If you are going to be allied with a country and share equipment platforms you need to train everyone on the equipment and tactics.
> All we had to do was leave Saddam Hussein alone and he would have kept Iran in check. <
Yep. And its also worth noting that both ISIS and the Syrian rebels operated out of western Iraq. No way would Saddam have allowed that. So if Bush would have left Saddam alone:
1. Iran would have been contained.
2. No ISIS.
3. No Syrian civil war.
4. No mass exodus of Syrian refugees into Europe.
And that list doesnt even consider the blood and treasure loss. My conclusion: W was the worst foreign policy president in US history.

A risk? It's a risk that is totally avoidable.
What happened if instead of flying bullets into our military personnel one of these religious nutcakes from the Mideast decides to fly into the House of Representatives or the White House? Or obtains flight scheduling information on Air Force One and attempts to go kamikaze on it? This outrageous...And if they want to buy our aircraft, teach them in their own countries so we can avoid a national disaster.
Muslims who can flip into jihadi mode should not be admitted for military training in combat aircraft in the USA. Where was the security check? Obviously not comprehensive enough.
How many more do we have in the system who can flip, and then fly an aircraft into the Capitol?
And where did he obtain his weapon and ammunition?
I assume that the Obama rot runs deep in our military.
As a former VT 86 instructor in Pensacola I am saddened and outraged. Just got word that two of the deceased were fellow USNA graduates. This should not happen.
