Yep. And it’s also worth noting that both ISIS and the Syrian rebels operated out of western Iraq. No way would Saddam have allowed that. So if Bush would have left Saddam alone:

1. Iran would have been contained.
2. No ISIS.
3. No Syrian civil war.
4. No mass exodus of “Syrian refugees” into Europe.

And that list doesn’t even consider the blood and treasure loss. My conclusion: W was the worst foreign policy president in US history.

You are right...it was a blunder of biblical proportions. Completely destroyed the balance of power and destabilized the Middle East and Europe as well probably indefinitely.
