Dang right! I just tied an onion to my belt. WHAT ARE YOU STARING AT?
Ahem. The etymological origins of "whippersnapper" are uncertain but everyone knows what it means. I find that a little disturbing, actually...

Ha! An insult that somehow won’t get you a black eye, until it does.
Boomers lived a life. You get the dregs. Okay, loser?

There are many who do just fine, but there’s more that don’t. For example, I have a client who is 60, did office work all her life and somehow managed to avoid learning how to do email, Microsoft Office, or anything but web browsing.
She recently had to close her consultancy and obtain a job in her field; she’s complained to me bitterly about how she shouldn’t have to learn the basics of using Microsoft Office had to learn how to do this to get a job before. I’ve had to point out that when the little high school girl working as a cashier at Ikea pulls up an Excel spreadsheet on her PC/register to chart her breaks as a matter of course, a mature lady absolutely has to know how to do that as well.

Er, “She recently had to close her consultancy and obtain a job in her field; shes complained to me bitterly about how she shouldnt have to learn the basics of using Microsoft Office had to learn how to do this to get a job before.” should be “She recently had to close her consultancy and obtain a job in her field; shes complained to me bitterly about how she shouldnt have to learn the basics of using Microsoft Office as she never had to learn how to do this to get a job before but every job she’s applying for requires these skills.”

A popular saying amongst boomers in the late 60s & early 70s was never trust anyone over 30. Boy, that came back to bite us boomers in the butt. Ha ha....I think about that every time I hear "ok Boomer".
Pretty funny that the fact that we all age never really occurred to those folks!
I'm Gen X, so I'll just sit in the corner eating popcorn and making snide comments. :)

Nearly everyone in the pic has pro photo gear.
Without the press the event would be nearly unattended.

I was there. It was a “thing” (even though we didn’t have “things” back then). I heard it many times. I even said it. It was meant to be ironic — very ironic. Either that, or too stupid to be believed. I’m going with irony.

The guy is making my head hurt with all his stuff. He WAS VP and wants to be POTUS.

Thanks, SunkenCiv. I think that’s what Trump is all about actually — restoring the original meanings of words.

SunkenCiv, here's another quote from the ancient Roman poet, Juvenal. Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? Literally, "Who will guard the guards themselves?"
