He must be a Bush League Republican.
What the hell does that even mean?
Can’t figure out the gop-e sometimes.
One more reason why I don’t consider myself a Republican or a conservative. I’m an independent Trump voter.
Loeffler has also donated $750,000 to Mitt Romneys failed 2012 presidential campaign as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars to former Speaker Paul Ryans (R-WI) campaigns and PACs.
OK this shouldn't bother anybody when looked in the context of when it happened. Donating to Romney vs Obama is supposed to upset us?!? That she didn't donate to Trump isn't all that surprising either given how 2016 played out but what has she done to advance his agenda?
The Planned Infanticide connection is alarming. This smells like a "diversity" move that will likely fail. Kemp is clearly expecting Stacy Abrams to be the Dem nominee for US Senate if she isn't tapped for their 2020 running mate.
I don’t know what is wrong with Kemp but he will spoil many voters in his attempt to garner support from suburban women, who for the most part have migrated to Atlanta for work from destroyed blue states. They continue voting for candidates that align with those who destroyed the cities they came from.
At the rate this is going GA will soon be a blue state, my county which was a solid red county went for clinton in 2016.
I smell a turtle
Kemp would fit right in with the Chick-Fil-A board of directors.
Before she is even sworn in, she will be facing a primary challenge in the 2020 election. And her ties to the NBA and WNBA will make here vulnerable to influence of the SJW’s she is desperate to please. I doubt the working class folks will take to kindly to the seat being offered to a mega-rich, connected, donor-class, socialite who has never served the public in her life. This smacks of the nepotism and classism that the left accuses Republicans of. I wouldn’t even be surprised if it costs us the seat.
Way to go, Kemp...
What the hell does that even mean?
Probably nothing more than appealing to abortion rights (planned parenthood) in the vein of Susan Collins, et al.
THW Kemp, I hope Collins prevails to retain this seat—and Purdue is reelected as well.
Alas, can’t we take any southern state for granted any longer???
Alabama all over again.
Governor appoints stooge (Luther Strange).
Conservative runs against stooge.
McConnell insists Trump endorse stooge because they’re the incumbent (and McConnell will do this or that in return, or NOT do this or that if Trump doesn’t).
Conservative defeats stooge in primary.
General election is closer than it needs to be; Democrat could win.
McConnell gets stooge or democrat but not a dreaded conservative.
Mission accomplished for McConnell.
Whoever he appoints will have to run in the special election next year. If I understand correctly, there will be multiple candidates, GOP and Democrat, with no primary before as one might expect.
Apparently there is a concern that a bunch of well-funded GOP might run against a single democrat, thus causing a split that might allow a democrat to win.
This sounds unusual and hard to believe. I got it from this article in the Atlanta Journal-Constituion.
Please tell me I don’t have this right and tell me why....if you don’t mind, that is.
The Founder’s system is set up for State choices.
No idea why this is the Gov’s choice though.
Another traitor.
Trump is really good at flushing these rats out.
There's gotta be a reason why Kemp is doing this.
Yep, post 12 pretty well nails it!
Dance with the one who brung you.
Too many Pubbies forget who brought them to the party...
How dare Kemp defy the President who propelled him to the governorship!!!
Without PDJT, Georgia may very well have Stacey Abrams in the State House.
Oh, how I wish President Trump had an effective, loyal party with which to govern!!!
That’s helpful.
Yes, the media has done a great job of subliminally portraying Trump as unpleasant to suburban women. But I think he’ll refute that before the election.
All I could think was her ability to self-finance, but any Trump-backed candidate will have plenty of dough.
