We’re up against a crisis I never thought I’d see in my lifetime: a dictator-like attack by President Donald Trump on everything this country stands for. As last week’s impeachment hearings made clear, our shared tolerance and respect for the truth, our sacred rule of law, our essential freedom of the press and our precious freedoms of speech - all have been threatened by a single man.
It’s time for Trump to go - along with those in Congress who have chosen party loyalty over their oath to “solemnly affirm” their support for the Constitution of the United States. And it’s up to us to make that happen, through the power of our votes.
We’re at a point in time where I reluctantly believe that we have much to lose - it is a critical and unforgiving moment. This monarchy in disguise has been so exhausting and chaotic, it’s not in the least bit surprising so many citizens are disillusioned.
There are only 11 months left before the presidential election; 11 months before we get our one real chance to right this ship and change the course of disaster that lies before us.
Let’s rededicate ourselves to voting for truth, character and integrity in our representatives (no matter which side we’re on). Let’s go back to being the leader the world so desperately needs. Let’s return, quickly, to being simply ... Americans.

I was about to get my blood up, then I saw this was the opinion of another movie actor. Yawn.
You don't know what's in the hearts of Americans, but I'm quite sure you sit in judgment of those who do not share your views and political orientation.
Redford displays more confirmation of the idea that so many actors are actually idiots outside of anything unrelated to their own craft.
It is also clear Redford displays the vile extreme exaggeration and extreme mischaracterization of all things political, because their own political hatred blinds them from thinking rationally.

Weird sentence structure and word choices. Probably ghost written.
No comma after "tolerance", so it implies that tolerance is in regard to "the truth" - "we leftists tolerate the truth." But in reality the truth interferes with their worldview, and they don't want to hear it!
"sacred" rule of law - I'd hazard to guess that the writer regards "law" to be the current tenets of her Party Manifesto, as fluid as they dream the Constitution would be in their perfect world. Since politics is religion to the Party, the rule of (their perfect) law is sacred, not to be doubted.
"essential" freedom of the press. Just funny. The MSM is free to publish all manner of lies. It's outsider opinions (and facts) that the writer must regard as non-essential. I'm convinced she imagines that MSM fairy-tales should be free ... free from any differing viewpoints; free to be the essence of all discourse.
"precious" freedom of speech. Just odd. "Precious" usually applies to material things in my experience. I see Gollum, of Tolkein. I find it easy to imagine that the writer regards her freedom of speech "presciousss", and not to be shared with anyone else - freedom of speech for me, not for thee.
