Luxury designer brand, Loewe, was forced to apologize after they produced a shirt and pants combo that a fashion group described as a "Holocaust concentration camp uniform."
"It was brought to our attention that one of our looks featured in a magazine and part of our Arts and Crafts ceramicist William De Morgan could be misconstrued as referring to one of the most odious moments in the history of mankind," the company said in a statement. "It was absolutely never our intention, and we apologize to anyone who might feel we were insensitive to sacred memories. The products featured have been removed from our commercial offering."
The Spanish brand sold the matching striped shirt and pants, which critics quickly pointed out the resemblance to Nazi-era Germany. Together the pants and shirt retailed for $1,840.
Loewe has pulled the outfit from its site, but it was still available at other outlets as of Sunday. Industry watchdog Diet Prada was the first to point out the similarity, stating, "Unable to see anything but concentration camp uniforms in this $1,840 ensemble from @loewes William De Morgan capsule, a collection meant to capture a freedom of imagination.'"...

Why would anyone wear something like that even if it wasn’t “holocaust” looking??????
Horrible fashion sense! Maybe people who want to say “I’m a victim” would like it but this is distasteful.
They should replace this with something better. Maybe a new Hugo Boss outfit. Something black and streamlined. Something that says “I’m not a victim. You’re a victim”.
This is the kind of “garb” that appeals to the “hipsters”...
That’s what I thought.
Honest, if I hadn’t read the article and just saw the picture in a magazine, I would have thought it was a loud, silly outfit.
That’s it.
Holy smokes. It will always be too soon. What the hell were these people thinking?
Were they Limited Edition with Serialized Numbers printed on them?
They already have the tattoos so they might as well wear the clothing.
Well, with the Vertical Stripes they do make you look thinner.
I’m surprised that they didn’t put a Star of David on that stupid outfit.
You mean something like this? I will pass on either outfit.
Some of them have it.
Because ....... "Together the pants and shirt retailed for $1,840."
I can see the advertising campaign now. They can use a Beatles song — “Hey, Jude ”
WTF?
Truth can be stranger than fiction.
I say that the people behind this need drug testing and psych evals, right away.
they do make you look thinner.
YIKES!!!!
Many more millions were killed under Mao.
LOL!
I wonder how many get that. Probably a lot more here than among the general population.
Did they also pull their brains from their a**?
