Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
Hard way to go.
Hard way to go.
Thanks Kathy for honoring tonight’s Hero!
One of the reasons we won World War II, was because America had better Germans than the Germans did.
If everyone was dead, who filed the report?
A lot of brave men gave their life for us. We have a bunch of men and women fighting an unseen battle right now and they may never be acknowledged. Thank Q unseen army.
Bible in a Year:
But you are . . . Gods special possession. 1 Peter 2:9
Imagine a vast throne room. Seated on the throne is a great king. Hes surrounded by all manner of attendants, each on their best behavior. Now imagine a box that sits at the kings feet. From time to time the king reaches down and runs his hands through the contents. And whats in the box? Jewels, gold, and gemstones particular to the kings tastes. This box holds the kings treasures, a collection that brings him great joy. Can you see that image in your minds eye?
The Hebrew word for this treasure is segulah, and it means special possession. That word is found in such Old Testament Scriptures as Exodus 19:5, Deuteronomy 7:6, and Psalm 135:4, where it refers to the nation of Israel. But that same word picture shows up in the New Testament by way of the pen of Peter the apostle. Hes describing the people of God, those who have received mercy (1 Peter 2:10), a collection now beyond the nation of Israel. In other words, hes talking about those who believe in Jesus, both Jew and gentile. And he writes But you are . . . Gods special possession (v. 9).
Imagine that! The great and powerful King of heaven considers you among His special treasures. He has rescued you from the grip of sin and death. He claims you as His own. The Kings voice says, This one I love. This one is mine.
Can you recall a time when someone genuinely called you special? What effect did it have on you? What does it mean for you to know that youre precious to God?
High King of heaven, my identity is found entirely in You, and You call me Your special treasure. I know this isnt because of anything Ive done, but because of everything You are.
Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
Howdy, Kathy.
I see it’s a winter wonderland up there again. There were some huge snowflakes coming down earlier this afternoon. There was a heck of a view from the airport as that mess moved in. Pretty but I’m soooooooooo glad it was miles away from here. LOL
How's everyone doing this morning?
Evening, Kathy! (Or rather, good morning.) I’m finally getting to bed.
Thanks for another inspiring bio.

You know, it's not often we pause to consider
how young these guys were when they died.
I think about it when we remember Pearl Harbor.
Well, the Redskins finally won a game.
And poor Dallas Cowboys had to plan in the freezing rain.
And it looks like many of us will have
more rain during the holiday week.
Just hope it's not during Thanksgiving day;
we have to travel along the dreaded 95 in Virginia this year.
We're waiting for it to warm up a bit
before heading out for our 4-mile walk.
It's a nice walk, just wish the pounds would drop off a tad faster.
So, come on in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea;
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM
