In 2014, Chick-Fil-A decided to stop funding the Paul Anderson Youth Home because it was accused of being “anti-LGBT.” But it still had funding commitments with the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, both of which are also falsely accused of being “anti-LGBT” because they have biblical policies on marriage and sex outside of marriage.
Now that the funding commitment has expired, Chick-Fil-A says it will no longer fund the Salvation Army and FCA, even though the Salvation Army fits within its giving priority of funding organizations that provide housing and food banks, and FCA provides education. Instead, Tassopoulos states Chick-Fil-A will now fund Covenant House International, which is much smaller that the Salvation Army (in only 31 cities) and an LGBTQ activist.
Tassopoulos, speaking of funding Covenant House, states: “This provides more focus and more clarity.” At least he is correct, and this clarity reveals the betrayal.
The founder of Covenant House, accused of being a Catholic priest pedophile, was sued for allegedly sexually abusing the youth who were seeking shelter and food. Covenant House proudly promotes LGBTQ on its website, referring to “LGBTQ Inclusion Initiatives,” and even doing an “inclusion assessment” at every one of its facilities.
Covenant House also proudly supports the New York City Gay Pride parade with its own float, banners, t-shirts, and hashtag #CovUnity.
Covenant House is recognized as a national funder of LGBTQ causes.
Chick-Fil-A dumps the Salvation Army because it wants to expand into new markets and now shuns originations the LGBT activists falsely call “anti-LGBT”, and then turns 180 degrees to announce that it will now fund Covenant House, a radical LGBTQ activist organization that celebrates homosexuality, transgenderism, and the entire LGBTQ agenda.
And, Covenant House does not stop at LGBTQ activism, it also takes girls to abortion clinics.

I totally agree with you there. Most of the time the guy is not afraid to take a stand for the good guys. Every now and then he goes “Liberal Christian”(Like Daddy). But none of us are perfect.

Yep. CFA was always well run, but, like Wendy’s, the second they fall prey to the homosexuals, the place is done and I no longer trust their food.
You can like him all you want. No one cares if he is a leftist. I love a lot of animated shows where the creator is a douche leftist but they dont make it a “thing”.

Here where I live, and I’ve seen tons of other places the same, people line up around the block for Chik-fil-a. Why would they throw that all away?

I think he just was trying too hard give them a chance/let the facts come out type of thing.

I didn’t want to believe it myself until I saw the policy in their own words.
Many stories that come out are later debunked, I was hoping that was the case with CFA.
But the truth came out immediately.
Sad for the loyal workers and franchise owners.

And get back to selling to everybody who comes through the door , and STOP thinking about virtue signal marketing by simply supporting traditional charitable causes.

Went to my first one in Loveland, Colorado when I was visiting our daughter. First and only Chick Fil A.
Chicken sandwich was good as was the fries. I wouldn’t say it was outstanding- just good.
The hospitality and service, cleanliness, politeness was absolutely outstanding.
Since the notice about pulling funding from Salvation Army I will not go there and give them my business.

Because it is a private company, I have no idea what the management and ownership structure is.
Cathy ran things and set it up as a Christian owned business.
All these years and recently when they came under fire from the Left, they stood tall and saw how many Christians stood with them.
I don’t understand how they now are so blind. If a changing of the guard happened, I didn’t know about it and again, it is a private company, thus they don’t have to disclose anything.
I thought they tried to correct what they said and did, but I guess I was wrong since there is still so much deserved outrage.
