Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) on Thursday delivered a speech at Clark Atlanta University, and declared that it is time to adopt Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee’s (D-TX) legislation on reparations. Warren delivered a speech at the historically black university Thursday evening and stressed the need to pass Lee’s reparations legislation, which “establishes the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African-Americans.”
“Let’s be clear: It’s time for our government to have a full-blown national conversation about reparations,” Warren wrote in a tweet containing a video of her remarks:

Yes, let’s do this. The democrat party supported slavery, democrats owned slaves. Its times they started paying reparations.
OK here’s my contribution to the conversation: “No”.
She needs to take some black votes away from Biden if she’s going to win. This idea that has taken hold that she’s the front runner is wrong.
The fact that she’s saying stuff like this and her sick remark about how Michael Brown was murdered proves that she thinks Biden is still ahead, which he is.
IMHO, the “conversation” has been going on ever since Affirmative Action was put in place, 50+ years ago.
I thought the half million soldiers killed in the Civil War to free the slaves was enough.
Any such conversation will likely be very short and very one-sided.

Reparations for what, exactly? Affirmative action has been used, non-discrimination language has been written into virtually every part of the law codes at the Federal and state levels, and even the Head Start programs have been extended widely throughout the minority populations, which in places are no longer truly minority at all.
Or is this only for certain minorities, and A BLATANT BID FOR VOTES?
