I don’t know enough about Chick Fil A to know what has happened.
Are they publicly traded? New majority holder make this decision? New CEO?
Or if they’re private did the family just cave?
Are new family members who are old enough to be part of decisions make this change?
They were making a FORTUNE. And just killed themselves.
Is there a NEW catalyst that caused the change?
Or did the original owners just lose their minds?
Dad passed away. Son took over.
Son declared after dad passed that they would continue his policies. Guess not all of them, though...
Son is weaker on bullying than dad was.
My predictions, no more wrap around drive thru lines at out local C-F-A.
It does work, it’s been working for decades.
Otherwise there wouldn’t be a “silent majority”.
Most normal Americans don’t push back, and won’t push back.
The consequences one might face are not worth it.

Of course it works. It scares the knickers off of people (and organizations).
The only thing that scares the leftist bullies is if the right ever organizes into more aggressive social activism. So much so that they have spent the last several years building the nazi and white supremacist narrative up so that they can whip it out on any sort of activism by non leftist groups instantly, whether they are legitimate or not.
I don’t know if Chick-fil-A caved, or if they simply want to give to some different charities (which they have every right to do), but I don’t see this as being the wisest move. Their business has been booming for years, with a very loyal customer base. Their thinking may be they want to prove they’re not anti-gay, but this kind of decision is like trying to give a good answer to the old “when did you stop beating your wife?” question.
Chick-fil-A, stick to what you do best: Good food, good customer service, and following Christian principles.

How many LQBTQ customers does Chick-fil-a have compared to their total customer base? You telling me that you can’t get by without them? And that assumes that if you are LBGTQ that you won’t eat what you want to because of a minority of activists. If you give into crying kids they never will grow up.

Good analysis. The fact that CFA is now run by the nex gen which explains much. This happens all the time. The son underestimated the vicious nature of the left. I’ll bet in his mind he thought he would be able to compromise and take the heat off from the creeps. He didn’t realize the leftist machine would pounce and use it as wedge to drive between CFA and it’s loyal customer base that was cultivated over years. In the end it will do nothng to help with the crazies and much CFA’s customer base feels betrayed. Dumb.
Works even better when you’re dealing with spineless conservative inc.’s like (((Chalie Kirk))) who supports sodomy.
Where I live this move will cost CFA a lot more in lost patronage than it will gain them in increased LGQWERTY patronage. Actually there will be NO gain anywhere for CFA. Caving even a smidgeon is a purely losing tactic.
CFA may be looking at those few venues from which CFA has been banned due to its Christian base. CFA may now be allowed to set up in those places but overall it will be a loss to profits and sales. Getting good good press from the screaming fictioneers might seem socially worth the inevitable downsizing of the company but CFA won’t even get that. In the PC world there are no forgivable thought crimes if you have not been not born into the PC religion.
So, will CFA open on Sunday now?

reward: at best, a small increase of those who previously avoided because of this policy change but in reality none (because they will never be satisfied....look at the quote)
