Michael Bloomberg has plenty of reasons to hide his true intentions and plans.
They are opaque by design for many reasons, one of which is that it gives him multiple options, depending on how things play out.
Is Bloomberg, the possible Presidential candidate, the reason he is the greatest threat to Trumps re-election?
Uh, no.
Is Bloombergs money the greatest threat to Trumps re-election?
Again, no.
The greatest threat to Trumps re-election is Bloombergs data project, or as I call it, Bloombergs big data machine.
Why is it big? According to media reports, he has spent untold tens of millions of dollars and about a year building it.
Heres another reason its big: when asked which data the Bloomberg big data machine would use, the team building it said very simply: all the data. All the data they can vacuum up or buy.
Then he tested his big data machine several weeks ago in the off-year elections.
His team publicly said they tested it state-wide in Virginia. He used his Everytown group (and likely others) to identify new voters, persuade new voters and turn out the vote of friendly new voters. And this November, Virginia set a new record for turnout in an off-year election. The result was a Blue Wave within the borders of Virginia. The Dems crushed the ball.
My guess is Bloomberg also tested the big data machine Pennsylvania too. All the indications are there that Bloomberg did: there was a Blue Wave confined to the borders of Pennsylvania too and Republican ramparts theyve held since the civil war fell by margins that indicate the success of the Bloomberg big data machine in turning out new voters.
Bloomberg is not a billionaire like Tom Steyer, Howard Schultz or George Soros who deploy money in politics and policy...

He poses ZERO danger. If he managed somehow to get the nomination, he would not make the looney left happy, at all. Would they vote for Trump? Heck no, but I betcha they would stay at home.
Is it because he's the least insane or stupid of their entire collection of mentally ill midgets?
For the same reason he would be the greatest threat, he cannot possibly be the nominee. The assortment of circus freaks making up the Democrat party would never nominate someone so close to sanity.
snicker
He poses NO threat to Trump whatsoever.
So they hate Trump because he is a billionaire
So the democrats will vote for a billionaire?
Bloomberg is a threat because he will draw the moderates and possibly the undecides. That is the threat
The base of kooks don’t decide elections anyways
As I see it, he has a choice to either run as a Democrat (which he’s now doing), and find out just what the Democrat base thinks of having safe cities.
Or he can later run Third Party, and take a huge number of gun-grabber votes from the Democrat.
Either way, he loses.
Read the article. It discusses the data machine that Bloomberg has built (and used in 2019 in Virginia and elsewhere) to be the threat to Trump, not his candidacy.
I think more properly Bloomberg himself is not a threat to Trump but Bloomberg’s money MIGHT be if it were used to fund a successful Democrat GOTV drive.
He’s going to need a really big vacuum...
to help him suck it up when Trump wins in a colossal landslide.
I'm with you...I can not imagine any of the millions and millions of gun owners voting for this nanny-state leftist.
And democrats are also gun owners.
Oh yes, please size down my soft drinks, and protect me from other terrible threats to my well being.
While you’re at it, make sure to have them down-size my meals at restaurants. I just hate it when I actually get a second meal at home the next day.
Who wants value for the money they spend anyway?
Stop them from selling those dangerous high calorie things that I order about twice a year. That stuff will kill me in few hundred years.
Pssst Hey Mike, ask Hillary to join your ticket. This will escalate your chances to at least zero! It’s a start.
Bloomberg? All the money in the world and St. Jude couldn’t rescue that lost cause!
It appears to be a useful tool, but how powerful it is remains to be seen. It ain't going to give the Buttigieg/Warren ticket Ohio and Pennsylvania.
That just illustrates how bad off the Demagogic Party's field really is.
This sort of data agglomeration and use to selectively motive people is an enormous threat, if only applied by one side.
Worth reading?
Not if you check out Dan Perrin first.
But his big data program does.
