Why We Wrote ThisThe Ohio congressman has been given a prominent role in the public hearings a nod to his bare-knuckle style and appeal to the GOP base. The move also reflects the extent to which theatrics are part of the process.
He made his name in Congress as an uncompromising brawler. A college wrestling champion, he cut his teeth on the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, grilling witnesses in high-profile hearings. He later co-founded the hard-line House Freedom Caucus that helped drive former Republican Speaker John Boehner into early retirement.
Now Rep. Jim Jordan has emerged as the GOPs point man in the public phase of the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.
Unlike his colleagues, the Ohio congressman regularly shows up to the hearings sans jacket, in just shirtsleeves and tie. He interrupts, corrects, and claps back. On Friday, during the testimony of former Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, Rep. Adam Schiff, the House Intelligence Committees Democratic chair, tried to cut Mr. Jordan off after the latter had reached his five-minute limit for questioning. My indulgence is wearing out, Mr. Schiff said.
Our indulgence wore out with you a long time ago, Mr. Chairman, Mr. Jordan retorted.
Observers say the Ohio congressman is particularly skilled at building in clear, easy-to-understand sound bites an impeachment counternarrative. Where Democrats allege that Mr. Trump improperly used his office to try to get a foreign government to investigate a political rival, Mr. Jordan and other Republicans argue that the presidents opponents are trying to connect unrelated events, based largely on hearsay, to undo the result of the 2016 election.
The Democrats have never accepted the will of the

Hope he does well in the verbal circus and can set things straight to a speedy end of this nonsense.

Jordan is one of the few GOP that sides with the citizens and the rule of law.
We need a lot more like him.

We DO have more like him, and his name is JOHN RADCLIFFE.
Radcliffe's statements were THE VOICE OF REASON which PROVED this is all NOTHING BUT A LYIN'-SACK-O-SCHIFF CIRCUS.

Interesting that Jordan went to law school but never took the bar exam. It’s like he actually wanted to learn the law rather than just get a license to sue people.

For any contrary views on Jim Jordan, merely read the comments on the CNN website.
They really, really, really hate the guy.
(SNL was not kind either)

I am extra proud of my daughter who passed the bar exam on 1st try, while “the smartest woman in America”, Hillary required more attempts to pass. Passing the bar exam enabled my daughter to represent the defendants in court.

The first time I saw him I thought he looked like a wrestler-something about the way he held himself.
I married into a wrestling family. My husband was a three time All American in college, one of his brothers is in his alma maters athletic hall of fame. One thing Ive learned from observing them over the years is that once youve spent part of your life physically dominating another in a grueling battle; you are pretty hard to intimidate.

“My indulgence is wearing out,” Mr. Schiff said. Mr Scchifft thinks he sits as a king, I say you are just a citizen that was elected to represent us and now need an attitude adjustment, say like prison at the least.

The Democrats have never accepted the will of the American people, And never will until they're either dead or imprisoned by the American people. Simply throwing them out of office doesn't work because naturally wealth backs the permanent government, not the will of the majority.
Repeal the 17th Amendment and we have a fighting chance at turning things around without widespread bloodshed. Leave it in place and there's no way things turn around without a great deal of violence and destruction.
