One of the nation’s largest gay advocacy organizations is greeting Chick-Fil-A’s divestment from Christian charities like the Salvation Army with tepid praise and further demands, including an “unequivocal” denunciation of the brand’s history and values.
GLAAD (whose name is an acronym for its former title, “Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation”) demanded “safe workplaces for LGBTQ employees” and an apparent denunciation of the Christian ministry Focus on the Family, responding to Chick-Fil-A’s decision to stop donating to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program for needy children and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which serves historically black colleges and universities (HCBUs).
The full statement from Drew Anderson, GLAAD’s director of campaigns and rapid response, names more steps the fast-food chain must take to prove its genuine repentance:
"If Chick-Fil-A is serious about their pledge to stop holding hands with divisive anti-LGBTQ activists, then further transparency is needed regarding their deep ties to organizations like Focus on the Family, which exist purely to harm LGBTQ people and families.
Chick-Fil-A investors, employees, and customers can greet today’s announcement with cautious optimism, but should remember that similar press statements were previously proven to be empty.
In addition to refraining from financially supporting anti-LGBTQ organizations, Chick-Fil-A still lacks policies to ensure safe workplaces for LGBTQ employees and should unequivocally speak out against the anti-LGBTQ reputation that their brand represents."

There have been a bunch of threads on FR about how they stopped supporting the Salvation Army and other charities, presumably in an effort to mollify the Gays and their fellow travelers who see the Salvation Army as "homophobic" because they believe in the Bible.
I doubt that conservatives will boycott CFA over the caving, but people like you and other FReepers who wanted to spend money there to support them for standing firm may cease to do so. No sense in supporting cowardice.

I can validate that by telling you that starting about a year ago I started to have mind-exploding conversations with Millenials who were insisting that the Salvation Army was an EEEEEEVIL organization because it was “mean” to LGBTQ folks.
I tried to tell them that the SA will help anyone regardless of their sexuality, but that fell on deaf ears. Just the fact that they adhere to Biblical teachings was enough to land them on a blacklist.
This is an orchestrated campaign that has apparently been going on for some time.

I never really liked Chick-Fil-A's food that much but I ate there anyways because I believe in supporting with my wallet companies that stand up for conservative values. Trusting by the massive crowds that were always there, I imagine I wasn't alone.
Now they're just another fast food joint among an ocean of many.
Tolerance will not be tolerated.
Can’t wait until they add that to the Constitution.
There are Five Guys up here. Overall for me fast food has to be a rare happening regardless of which one.

There is a burger chain up here called South Street Burgers which had some posters which said a burger a day keeps the kale away. :)
