Amid reports that fast food chain Chick-fil-A was halting donations to Christian groups, the restaurant's foundation is maintaining they are philanthropically restructuring, not caving to political correctness in pursuit of higher profits.
Reports emerged Monday that after months of consistently negative press coverage related to their long-held views about marriage and human sexuality and donations to like-minded organizations, that the famous chicken sandwich shop was discontinuing their financial contributions to groups characterized as "anti-LGBT."
The Christian Post reached out to Chick-fil-A Monday, asking them to respond to the criticisms that they were compromising their principles in order to appease their ideological opponents.

Mammon not manna.
They caved and made a huge mistake. FCA and the Salvation Army are very good organizations.
They might as well open on Sunday now.
They have betrayed the customer base who built them. Their sales will take a huge hit in my opinion.
Maybe diversity days will be next?
” none of the organizations have anti-LGBT positions.
And the now shunned organizations don’t have “anti-LGBT positions”.
They simply affirm normal positions on marriage and sexuality. Thy aren’t out harassing the LGBTABCDEFGXTYZ crowd.
People like you are always looking for a reason to desert the conservative cause in search of a theoretical purity that will never exist
That is really disappointing.
I read their statement as well. Lots of nice sounding words, but I didn’t notice anything about them still giving and remaining loyal to pro-traditional groups. Will they still give to the Christian Athletes? Or will their giving now be done to watered down Christian groups, so that they can appease the Alphabet Mafia, once removed.
I'd also question the accuracy of the statement made and whether or not that really reflects what Chik-fil-A is doing going forward. I'm willing to give this a few more days and wait for the rest to play out. I don't think this story is over yet.
Yabut Salvation Army is the very best charity out there. They are the only one who truly helped when I finally got cleaned up.
And the LGBT community seems to think that’s what they’re doing too -
“If Chick-Fil-A is serious about their pledge to stop holding hands with divisive anti-LGBTQ activists, then further transparency is needed regarding their deep ties to organizations like Focus on the Family, which exist purely to harm LGBTQ people and families, Drew Anderson, GLAADs director of campaigns and rapid response, said in a statement Monday.”
And, again, CFA has made no statement denying that they’re no longer funding groups the LGBT’s hate. Just that they’re going to still fund Christian and non-Christian groups.
Fighting the good fight and supporting others doing the same apparently has gotten to be too much of a corporate headache for them. It is disappointing that they are trying to appease those who mock God.
A simple yes or no to their switching from donating to Salvation Army and others they used to donate should be enough. I don’t want nor care their multiple excuses for reason. Just by appearance, they caved to the queer mob.
We started going to CFA years ago because of their founder’s tradition view on marriage, but I won’t be going back. Period. CFA can do whatever they want with their charity donations, just not with my contribution.
Not all ‘Christian’ churches nor charities are the same, for example, the chyron from a church near where I live says “Proudly Progressive”, enough for me not to ever go near them.
"Our goal is to donate to the most effective organizations in the areas of education, homelessness and hunger. No organization will be excluded from future consideration faith-based or non-faith based," the spokesperson said, noting "I also wanted to add that Chick-fil-A will not be opening on Sundays."
According to an exclusive from BisNow Monday, Chick-fil-A was shifting away from its current philanthropic structure to refocus their giving on other causes, specifically education, homelessness and hunger, and would no longer be donating to groups like the Salvation Army, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Paul Anderson Youth Home.
I don't see where CFA said they weren't giving to Salvation Army or CFA.
What I see is some "BisNow" organization saying CFA won't be.
This is the new classic form of media lie: quote an unknown media source in an attempt togive a lie credibility, so the intended audience (CFA fans) will buy into the lie.
We see CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC and all the rest (including FOX) do this every day. I got so sick of it happening on the boob tube that I disconnected it and it hasn't been on in almost two years now.
I'll take what CFA says directly over being quoted by some unknown (to me) "news source" any day.
Context and providing full quotes of news articles is important. I have to wonder why you chose to skip the first part of the statement that I directly copied and pasted verbatim from Christian Post above. What's your agenda in doing so??
People like you are the reason the conservative cause is on the ropes...drip...drip...drip. Leftists take their theoretical purity seriously.
Really clear that CFA caved...the closure of the new UK? location after a few weeks of operation with protests was probably the last straw for the weak-kneed newer upper management. Fellowship of CHRISTIAN Athletes and the Salvation Army are both clearly Christian charities.
Try Fisher House.
Why would CFA announce changes if there are none?
Having it both ways. Never cared for their food anyway, I’ve eaten there once. Overrated.
“No. Chick Fil A should be boycotted by Christians and real Americans. Middle America made the fast food chain. We can break them. Boycotts work. Ask the NFL and Gillette.”
I agree. They PLAYED us to grow their business and now that they don’t need us, they jettison us.
Never had chick-fil-a. We don’t have one nearby. When I run across one some time, I’ll try it. If I like the food, I’ll eat there when I get a chance. If I don’t like the food, I won’t eat there. I’m funny like that with food.
