Been to Los Angeles lately? It has become nearly unlivable. The “homeless” have taken over the sidewalks, freeway underpasses, freeway overpasses, on ramps, exit ramps, empty lots, sidewalks in front of vacant buildings, vacant lots, vacant buildings, and anywhere else they can occupy. The LA Slime building on Central and Olympic has erected a fence cordoning off the sidewalk in front of their headquarters to prevent “homeless” tents and encampments. Litter is everywhere and the city is impotent in tracking who is littering and in cleaning it up. Thank you Garcetti and adulterer Newsome.

LOL. With the MSM, Democrats addressing homelessness is about helping people, but Republicans (especially the president they hate so much) addressing homelessness must be a “broad crackdown” because we all know that not having a home is a felony you can arrest people for, right?

Maybe, some of these homeless people are illegal aliens. Maybe some are fugitives of justice. Maybe some need mental health assistance, which the Democrats took away years ago, leaving such people to fend for themselves. Maybe some need a leg up. And no president in my lifetime has made financial independence more achievable than President Trump.

But, sure, MSM, President Trump is the secretly Tyrell Wellick and loves to beat up homeless people when he gets frustrated by all the abuse and lies he’s been getting from Democrats, the MSM, and the Deep State. President Trump is the boogie man under your bed (or in your head).

Drug abuse, including alchoholism, and mental illness are the leading causes of homelessness. Economic deprivation not caused by the two leading causes is a third cause representing a much smaller population. Recreational homelessness is negligible.

good question. I looked it up. USICH created 1987, reauthorized 2009. 19 agencies. A not-so-little ‘independent’ fiefdom of the executive branch. Agencies include, HHS, Labor, Ag, Ed, Housing and Urban, VA, Commerce, Def, Energy, Homeland, Interior, DOJ, DOT, GSA, Budget, SSA, US Postal.

One would think after 30 years of experience, USICH would be able to deal with any surge in homelessness in any particular sector - much as the BP has been able to do at the border over the past year for instance. Or FEMA after a flood. Something is broken over there. Let’s see who Trump picks - hopefully somebody Mad Max will howl about.
