There’s always one.
Should have peed while he ate.Going to work with a sandwich in your hand-lock him up.Big go fund me going on now.
More Freepers live in California than any other state. And the Free founder lives here!
I used to love cops. I was raised in a community where we all loved cops.
Now I hate cops. Everybody I know is afraid of cops.
They used to get paid by the local people of the community. Now they get paid by the state and the fed. They don’t get paid by local people. They hate local people. They are the enemy of the people.
Mr policeman. Come on my property. Mess with me.
If you’ve never ridden BART, you don’t have a say in this.
It’s super easy to follow the rules & law, and not aggravate 99% of the other riders.
Similar to the President's situation -- the Democrats wanted to impeach him for "collusion" (which isn't a crime) and when he defended himself, they said "Ah Ha! That's obstruction of justice! We will impeach you for that instead!"
So, you must “provide ze papers!” on demand now? For eating a sandwich on the BART platform? I know this is California, but even Cali isn’t Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia just yet... The sandwich was an excuse to identify the guy, search his bag and check for warrants. That’s it, period. The cop probably performs similar “stops” every day, but this time Joe Citizen pushed back.
Im a little surprised by the variations of the online reports of this incident.
At this time, my main concern is that the gentleman was warned to stop eating the sandwich, ignored the warning, and was caught eating a second time.
"The officer asked the rider not to eat while passing by on another call. It should have ended there, but it didnt. When the officer walked by again [emphasis added] and still saw him eating, he moved forward with the process of issuing him a citation." California man detained, ticketed for eating sandwich on train platform, KCBD
"One of the officers tells Foster he's being held because he matches the description of someone who was creating a disturbance on the platform. California man detained, given citation for eating sandwich on BART train platform, Fox News
So, now you get to say who can have an opinion? I grew up in the East Bay, still ride BART occasionally when I visit, and everyone’s opinion on this is just as valid as yours. In fact, so far, it seems the majority here see it MUCH clearer than you.
IIRC back in 1971 the famous Dirty Harry scene begins with him being in his regular diner and then proceeds towards the bank robbery while finishing off what he had in the diner before his do you feel lucky speech. Of course that was almost 50 years ago now.
It would seem likely that the person would proceed to resist that second arrest too, doesn't it? (That could go on, and on, and on...)
The man should have had a sandwich and a doughnut. While eating the sandwich, and the cops show, he could have thrown the doughnut into a corner, and when the cops dive for it, finished his sandwich.
Kalifornians. Continuing to deal with their crap by calling a cesspool a “utopia.”
Just road MARTA in Atlanta.
There are signs above every door about LAWS that you must adhere to while riding. One of the laws is no eating while on the train.
Someone sat there and opened a bag of chips and ate them.
There are LAWS about music being broadcast aloud.
Someone (while liatening to music on earphones) sang loudly out loud with every other word being N-——., while making elaborate hand motions which were not ESL hand signs.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when the latter disembarked the train.
When it becomes a Soft Taco dripping Hot Sauce on the Platform !!!
Road= rode
Don’t give us this BS. This isn’t like government fraud, assassinations, drugs and sex trafficking.
I’m not going to get sucked into an argument about obeying incidental rules when you know full well that this was a waste of time and money. Who cares about these little rules when nothing is done about the really big crimes by the elites.
In fact, it’s the left wing commies and nazis want you worked up, distracted and diverted while they engage in treason, fraud and on and on.
Sure, Ill explain why he was not acting civilized. Before the video begins, the police officer Undoubtedly doing his job, approached this man eating a sandwich in an area where he was not supposed to be eating food. Had the man been polite and cooperative with the police officer, like civilized people act, the officer most likely wouldve said put your sandwich away and have a nice day. Instead, the man decided to act like a total you know what and escalated a routine law enforcement action into an arrest, by refusing to give his name so the officer could give him a citation. Bottom line: if you act civilized, you wont get arrested. Im disappointed with people on this board who are so anti-police.
This was not a normal guy just trying to go to work. This incident was staged. He deliberately went out to cause problems. He had his friend videotape his little outburst. For whatever reason he decided to create a scene and make problems. He got what he wanted. He got arrested.
This stupid little stunt reminds me of the second amendment activists who strap on an AR and walk into a Walmart.
Ok, there may be a contingent of common sense folks who *still* live in California, but despite this, I am not in a hurry to move there. I love my Midwest! There are a few nuts here, but mostly I am surrounded by *good people*.
