Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley claims two of President Trumps former senior advisers tried to get her to undermine him to save the country, The Washington Post reported Sunday, citing Haleys upcoming memoir and an interview with her.
According to the newspaper, Haley said former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and former White House chief of staff John Kelly would try to get her to work around the president.
Kelly and Tillerson confided in me that when they resisted the president, they werent being insubordinate, they were trying to save the country, Haley wrote, according to the Post.
It was their decisions, not the presidents, that were in the best interests of America, they said. The president didnt know what he was doing, she continued.
In one portion of the book, Haley reportedly recalls a disagreement with Tillerson and Kelly during an Oval Office meeting over her suggestion that the United States should withhold funding for a U.N. agency that supports Palestinians.

Bass turds.
Haven’t trusted her since she started the attacks on our history.
Another GOPe globalist, another book...
Wow. I knew about Tillerson but Kelly is a real traitor!
Those were my top two never Trumpers. The 3rd highest was McMaster.
It is way, way past time that we clean house and get rid of all the self-absorbed morons who now infest government at most levels. Who the hell do these people think they are? I have zero doubt that after an hour or two of back and forth discussions just on this board, we could come up with much, much better solutions to foreign policy issues than ANY of the clowns in government. Not because we are so wonderful, but because they are clueless. I couldn’t be more serious. We need to emphasize the ‘public servant’ role of each and every office holder and bureaucrat. They act like royalty, which is exactly what the founders wanted to avoid..
She stabbed the people who elected her in the back to make herself more appealing to the RINO wing of the Republocrat party and her slamming Trump even after he was the nominee was proof to me that she's solidly on the Globalist bandwagon.
She'd be right in there with a knife stabbing Trump in the back if any of the other swine trusted her enough to let her in on their schemes.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague. Cicero
Same here.
If Nikki walked those statements back, saying that she was wrong to remove the original flag and that now supports it being returned, would you consider her ‘application’ for VP then?
Such an intention (to become VP for Trump in 2020) may not even be what she wants, I don’t know anything about her thoughts. But if she did try to re-introduce herself as a republican, could you ever see her as a republican asset vs a negative influence?
There’s a whole lot more assholes in DC who think they know what’s best, than I originally thought.
Purge.
...get rid of all the self-absorbed morons who now infest government at most levels.
Gov is rather unique High positions come and go at whim of the public and changing ruling party. So, every newby must rely on existing staffers, a lot.
So, do we need term limits for staffers?
They are all skunks. Including her.
Watch her interview with Ben Shapiro.
Not sure that Nicki isn’t using this situation to her own political advantage. Just sayin’.
We need to divide up who we call ‘government workers’. People who work for the Postal Service, for example, should be looked at differently than those who work in the offices of Senators and Congress-its. Those types of staffer positions should most definitely be only for the term of the office holder - then out to the private sector to find a job. ‘Civil service’ is neither civil or a service.
Diogenes would have as much success finding an honest man as Don Quixote had knocking down windmills. It is a sad commentary that our government consists of liars, thieves and perverts.
Shes good and shes honest. She was a great support to Trump at the UN, and left on good terms...basically, I think, because she realized that other Administration people were actually undermining both her and Trump at every turn and she didnt feel she was up to hand-to-hand combat with these people.
I have family in SC, and they said that after the 2015 massacre in Charleston, for which the killer (grandson of an important SC judge) claimed Confederate inspiration,, there really wasnt any way she could keep that flag. He was crazy, but she did the best thing she could do, which was defuse the issue except with some out of staters. Most people in SC didnt like this but understood it because of the awfulness of the crime against innocent people.
Maybe she is. But if what she says is true, we should be grateful to her for exposing it. It’s kind of weird how critical demonicRATS were of Tillerson and Kelly and how we came to their defense. I almost wonder if they weren’t demonicRAT plants All along and they played us like a fiddle knowing we would come to their defense.
