Nine members of a Mormon family were killed on the Mexican side of the US-Mexico border, and authorities are investigating whether the attack was the result of mistaken identity. The slain victims include three women, four small children and two infants, family member Alex LeBaron said from Mexico. He said all nine were dual US-Mexican citizens. The victims were "all shot while in vehicles while driving," LeBaron told CNN. Investigators believe three vehicles traveling between the Mexican states of Sonora and Chihuahua were ambushed by criminal groups Monday evening, Mexican authorities said.

Its designed to keep those criminals out
It would prevent similar crimes here in the US. The murderers would love to come to the US and do their evil here.
Wiping these cartels out, would be very easy. The intel from Mexican citizens would be enormous, esp if there was bounty paid.
You could zero in on them with drone attackes. There would be zero collateral damages.
I wouldn’t trust the Mexican army to help us, so why risk our guys on the ground.
I don’t think Mexico would ask for our help, but if they did, El Trumpo would step in with both feet and it would be another problem resolved quickly. Compared to what we do routinely in the ME, and knows about, cleaning up the drug cartels would be easy.
Mitt offered condolences, Trump offered to go to war to clear out these monsters. The Mexican president declined Trumps offer saying they dont need a war. What the hell does the Mexican president think he has now?
The Mexican President is one of them.
WHO CARES what mitt says?? American citizens, including kids, were slaughtered and burned alive.
Trump already said ask for the help and an ARMY will defeat an ARMY.
“Lets see how Mitt responds to this.”
Mitt needs to go down there and investigate this himself. Are all these Mormans living in Mexico? If so . why?
Certain “elements” of the Mormons have long found it convenient to live on both sides of state or national borders, so they can just hop over the line when the authorities come knocking.
“...I am not sure how the wall would have made a difference.”
without a wall the Mexican cartel could have, or would have, done the killing on the US side. Keep the terrorists out, or as many as possible, that is.
THESE KILLINGS ARE BAD FOR BUSINESS.
I predict by next week, heads will appear in Ciudad Juárez.
Followed with a video which will show the previous owners of these heads confessing to the murders and then their decapitation.
Problem solved Mr President Trump.
Please don’t invade.
Mitt knows exactly why they are there. His own dad was born in the Mormon “colonies” across the Mexican border.
You could zero in on them with drone attacks. There would be zero collateral damages.'
that isn't how it works. One tribe[cartel] provides intel to wipe out the other. Rinse and repeat. Same story, different country. Afghanistan, Iraq, and Mexico.
There is always collateral damage, which creates resentment. Simply look at the anger here for what the fbi and cops do to people. Now expand it to a foreign military doing that to you.
But, but, but , but, guns are outlawed in Mexico!!!?
Why would it be easy? They terrorize people, who in their right mind would knowingly antogonize them, & put their family at risk?
His dad, George was born in Mexico.
After WWII when Communism was outlawed in the USA, a large contingent of American communists moved to Mexico City and formed a community there which, I understand, is still there and still communist.
They mostly came from Long Island and New England.
Your governor this week asked for more Muslim and Central American “refugees” so the cartels can kill Mormons in Utah.
Should we be concerned a bit more by the fact that the victims were dual citizens (U.S. and Mexico)? Yes.
Do I want our military involved whenever citizens of a country kill other citizens of the same country? No.
A lot of Mormons serve in the military. I’m sure they feel the same as you do.
