Justice Department Issues Warning to Anonymous Trump Administration Author
Wall Street Journal. ^ | 11/5/19 | Catherine Lucy

The Justice Department issued a warning that the anonymous writer of a coming book about the Trump administration could be violating nondisclosure agreements, requesting information from the author’s agents and publisher that they said they wouldn’t provide.

At issue is a book by a writer described as a senior Trump administration official whose op-ed piece in the New York Times last year caused controversy by suggesting that administration insiders were intentionally working to blunt the impact of some of the president’s decisions. The book, “A Warning,” is slated to hit bookshelves on Nov. 19. It isn’t known whether the writer still works in the administration.

In the letter reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, Assistant Attorney General Joseph H. Hunt raises questions about the writer, saying that if he or she is “in fact, a current or former ‘senior official’ in the Trump Administration, publication of the book may violate that official’s legal obligations under one or more nondisclosure agreements.”

There's some question whether the non-disclosure agreements are enforceable. I guess we'll find out.

Do not think breaking non disclosure agreements are against the law. They are civil mattera. So why Justice involved?

The question is, why should anyone who makes anonymous allegations like this, be believed?

It’s what’s a the heart of nearly every piece of anti-Trump crap we’ve had to suffer through for the last 3 years in the MSM, up to, and including, the ‘whistleblower’.

There’s so much proven ‘fake news’ that nobody should believe a word that spoken or written by someone without the courage of their convictions to identify themselves.

This is treason. The West used to have effective means of discouraging traitors from betraying their country.

The Romans threw traitors from the Tarpeian Rock. The British were less gentle, to the point that I will not describe the details of their (partial) hanging, drawing, and quartering. I don't care about the method, but the outcome - death - needs to be certain for those tried and convicted of treason, sedition, or an attempted coup.

The DNC isn’t afraid of the GOP
Heck, they spied and wire tapped on them using the FBI and CIA.
I don’t think they are afraid of a non-disclosure agreement.

Some problems can be solved with a hammer, some with duct tape...this one requires rope!

It’s nice that rope is reusable. Otherwise, dealing with the current widespread problem could get expensive.

Yes, and after three years, they are still running the show in Congress like it were an ice skating rink.

I’m having a “Senior Moment” and can’t remember his name, but I’m thinking of the old General who was Trump’s Chief of Staff in the White House. There were rumors that HE was disdainful of Trump, and was attempting to thwart Trump’s goals and intentions. When he was not very successful he resigned after about 2 years, similar to Mad Dog Mattis. They may even have been in cahoots.

That’s my opinion ever since I read the op-ed.

Intimidation? I doubt it'll work.

Kelly. And Kelly doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would hide in anonymity. If he's going to shaft someone he would want that person to know who did it.
