I’m confused on the rats’ impeachment vote Thursday. If it passes, will Republican lawmakers be able to bring these previous witnesses back in for public testimony?

In addition to a direct relationship with the Atlantic Council, Taylor for the last nine years also served as a senior adviser to the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), which has co-hosted events with the Atlantic Council and has participated in events co-hosted jointly by the Atlantic Council and Burisma. USUBC events have been financially sponsored by Burisma.

Another senior adviser to the USUBC is David J. Kramer, a long-time adviser to late Senator John McCain. Kramer played a central role in disseminating the anti-Trump dossier to the news media and Obama administration.

Taylor participated in events and initiatives organized by Kramer.

The links may be particularly instructive after Breitbart News reported that itinerary for a trip to Ukraine in August organized by the Burisma-funded Atlantic Council for ten Congressional aides reveals that a staffer on Rep. Adam Schiff’s House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence held a meeting during the trip with Taylor. The pre-planned trip took place after the so-called whistleblower officially filed his August 12 complaint and reportedly after a Schiff aide was contacted by the so-called whistleblower.

My guess is that they will try to pass a bill that formalizes the Impeachment hearing but does not offer the full due process protections that have been offered previous presidents.

Whether they can get enough people to vote for it. I don't know. Hopefully it dies Thursday.

Republicans need to be prepared to scream loud if they don't have enough time to review it and/or if it doesn't offer enough due process.

And the Republicans better still vote against it even if it offers due process, because there is no basis for this.

Pelosi might be using this as an out. Let the vote fail and wrap it up.

• They don't have a case. We would have heard more leaks from the last couple of witnesses if they did have.
• Investigating the Russian Hoax interference with the 2016 election is appropriate and not an impeachable offense.
• Investigating the obvious payoffs to the Biden's is not an impeachable offense whether he is running for office or not.
• Investigating the FISA abuse is not an impeachable offense.

They know it's going to fail in the Senate. And the Senate is about to repudiate them for the partisan investigation. My guess is that they are reading the polls and it's not good.

What they have done to date....IIRC....is what Hillary proposed as the method to impeach Nixon. And IIRC, they don't her that it was unconstitutional because it took away Nixon's right to counsel, etc etc....

I believe that is what has happened to date....and that implicates (in my mind at least) Hillary if you want to connect all the dots.

Go back and look at her record on her proposal to impeach Nixon.

Or they’re beginning to realize that further investigation may send them all to jail. Best try to cut their losses and try to keep any more of their corrupt coup conspiracy from being exposed on cross-examination.

And Taylor, the guy who asks for the Ukraine job, arrives on the scene and before even unpacking his bags starts screaming “quid pro quo” in text messages, phone calls, memorandums, congressional testimony, everywhere he can! Good observation. Yes, Pelosi will put it to a vote and get it ... but it still won’t follow the rules and have the guarantees of “normal” impeachment proceedings. I think this might make it easier to contest it on constitutional grounds though.
