As the country watches in horror a Texas father’s legal battle to prevent his ex-wife from “transitioning” their seven-year-old son into a girl, a growing chorus of Americans is demanding state and federal leaders intervene to save James Younger.
On Monday, a Dallas jury ruled 11-1 against father Jeffrey Younger in his fight against his ex-wife, Dr. Anna Georgulas, who wants to subject young James to puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones as well as legally force his father to treat him as a girl. Mr. Younger contends that all of this is being pursued against his son’s will.
“Conservatives would be wise to pressure Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick to convene a special session of the legislature and criminalize all non-medical removals of male or female genitalia,” Conservative Review senior editor Daniel Horowitz said.

No, actually not in this case. This woman and her then-husband ORDERED two boys from a fertility clinic, using donor eggs to conceive them. She is not the biological mother of this boy or his twin brother.
Maybe that judge could accidentally neutered.

We should be looking very closely at our “treasured” jury system, when eleven people can make this decision.

I’d like a law banning hormone treatments and mutilation of minors. If that is not politically possible, require BOTH parents to give consent before such things can be done.
There are times when the law is no longer on your side but you still have to do the right thing. As a father, I hope this man will do the right thing for his son (in a manner that will not put the father in prison, of course).
Beta blockers do exactly as the name implies, it blocks Testosterone from developing the body male. At seven years old it is overkill, even if the child behaves feminine and expresses a desire to be female they can dress and behave and be addressed as a girl without the blockers until puberty. The longer the child is kept off them the more opportunity the child has to accept his sex. Also if he does decide to go through with it he can have his semen frozen and so can procreate later and that would put his age up to 13 or 14 for receiving blockers. Still enough time before permanent male changes. 13 or 14 is a whole lot older than 7. Definitely child abuse.
