President Trump announced on Wednesday that conditions have been met between Turkey and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) for what he called a " permanent ceasefire" between the two sides and that the United States is lifting sanctions on Ankara that were implemented following the invasion of northern Syria.
Speaking at the White House, Trump said that while a "permanent ceasefire" will be tough to maintain in the volatile region, he hopes that it will last and end the conflict between Turkey and the Kurds.
"I do believe it will be permanent," he said. "This was an outcome created by us, the United States, and nobody else...we've done something very, very special"
Trump's comment follows an early morning tweet, where he said a “safe zone” along the Turkey-Syria border and as he faces strong bipartisan criticism for pulling back U.S. troops from northern Syria.

Media Spin: He only got involved in this because everyone knows that sanctions against Turkey and a conflict with the Curds would only drive up the price of Turkeys and cheese and with Thanksgiving fast approaching he didn’t want to be blamed for ruining American’s holiday dinners. It was a purely selfish move.
It seems the deep state has no intention of actually protecting our own country. Their actions speak louder than words.

This all happened when it did because of the Trump imposed tariffs. Don’t think for a moment these tariffs didn’t get Erdogans attention and in a very big way.
They have been lifted because of the agreement announced this day but they can and will be slammed back on Turkey if the cease fire is violated.
I have said this before. Future wars will be mainly fought on an economic battlefield rather than a military one.
