Full title: 125 House Republicans co-sponsor resolution to censure Schiff over 'parody' reading of Trump-Zelensky call
A motion to censure House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., for his “parody” reading of President Trump’s July phone call with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky during a hearing last month is gaining steam with House Republicans, as Fox News has learned 125 lawmakers have now signed on as co-sponsors.
The resolution to censure Schiff -- who has become a favorite target of Republicans for his role in the Trump impeachment inquiry -- was first introduced late last month by Rep. Andy Biggs, the Arizona Republican who chairs the conservative House Freedom Caucus, and has the support of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., and House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., among other ranking Republicans in the lower chamber of Congress.
Democrats have the majority and control the floor in the House, but Republicans could still attempt to force a vote on the matter.
“Schiff simply does not have the gravitas that a weighty procedure such as impeachment requires,” Biggs wrote in an opinion piece for Fox News. “He has repeatedly shown incredibly poor judgment. He has persistently and consistently demonstrated that he has such a tremendous bias and animus against Trump that he will say anything and accept any proffer of even bogus evidence to try to remove the president from office.”
Fox News has requested comment from Schiff's office.
Schiff, who is leading one of the committees investigating Trump in the impeachment inquiry announced by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has been under fire from conservatives for the “parody” of the president’s call with Zelensky that he read at the testimony last month of Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire.

Get it unanimous if possible. Bring it up for a floor vote. If Nancy blocks it, it’s a win. If it gets a floor vote on party lines, it’s a win. If some Democrats cross over and vote for it, it’s a win. The only possible down side would be if Republicans cross over and vote against.
Who are the members who haven’t sponsored this common sense resolution. ?? Let them be named and primaried

Strategically the have to do this in an effort to show extreme TDS with regard to impeachment. This sort of nastiness must be a part of the record. Demonrats have openly rejected good sense in preparation for their upcoming attempt at impeachment, counsel that would have made their case even stronger..
These demonrats are stupid.
The impeachment won’t succeed and Trump WILL be elected to a second term.

Some boundaries, once crossed, are virtually impossible to walk back. Adam Schiff has crossed a bridge and set it ablaze as he passed, and by now, is wondering what all the hoopla is about. Sometimes, Chairman Schiff does not have very much situational awareness. He is in deep doodoo and has no idea that it was pretty much of his own making.
The Universe is not kind to the willfully ignorant.
That was no parody reading.
He stated they were the facts concerning the matter.
Only the next day did he admit to it all being a farce, when he was outed as a serial liar on the subject.
He should be impeached for what he did.
He’s my Congressman, and nobody would welcome it more than I would.
My theory is they had that spiel put together weeks ago, on the assumption that Trump would deny any impropriety but would NOT release the transcript (Presidents never do), and then Schiff would recite his little lie as a paraphrase of the “whistleblower’s” report - which Trump would deny to no avail.
When Trump crossed them up by releasing the text of the call, Schiff and his minions were so proud of their little narrative that they couldn’t resist reciting it in public, figuring maybe no one would call them out on it (which almost happened), and also figuring if anyone actually did, they could blow it off as just a little joke. But they had their little story put together, and they thought they were oh so clever in doing so they couldn’t just discard it for a minor reason like it didn’t agree with the reality of the actual conversation.
They are truly slime of the lowest order.
