Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo says her sources are telling her an extensive report by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz on alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses by the Justice Department and the FBI will be released by the end of next week.
Bartiromo, who is the first journalist to report an exact release date, discussed what she had learned on her Fox News show, Sunday Morning Futures, with two Republican congressmen who deduced former high-ranking government officials are bracing for a scathing critique.
"I’m hearing the IG report will be out this upcoming Friday, Oct. 18, and my sources say it’s as thick as a telephone book," Bartiromo said, adding that it covers "more than just FISA abuse."
It has been exactly one month since Horowitz announced the completion of the investigation by his team, who pored over more than 1 million records and conducted 100-plus interviews. The inspector general gave a draft to the Justice Department and FBI for a classification review.
Upon the completion of that process, the report will first be delivered to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, who has pledged to do a "deep dive" of his own into FISA that will run concurrently with U.S. Attorney John Durham's review of the early stages of the Russia investigation. The South Carolina Republican said his "No. 1 goal" is to have as much of the report declassified as possible.

I agree with you, and I doubt it will be out on Friday. Horowitz is a democrat. His last report was a Comeyesque politicized mess. They will hold back as long as they can to kill time until the next election.
My guess is that either Horowitz or Durham (both democrats) will submit a scapegoat for prosecution. It will be a name, but a little person who knows where the fewest bodies are buried. I’m thinking Lisa Page or Nellie Ohr.
Any guesses what diversion the Dims will try this week before the IG release?

The level of proof needed to convict Democrats is like finding a needle in a haystack, while the level of proof to convict republicans is the sound of that same needle dropping!
I agree. Barr has shown no interest in doing anything more than expressing deep regret for the undermining of the election and the attempt to overthrow a President by lies, leaks and false accusations.

Many on this forum seem to believe Barr is working tirelessly to round up and charge the true perpetrators, and perhaps he is.
However, if that’s the case I expect (based on a lot of history) one of two things to occur:
The report will either be ignored or mischaracterized in the MSM to the point that it’s unrecognizable,
Or
Barr will be portrayed as nothing more than a Republican hack doing Donald Trump’s bidding.
Therefore, I’m not optimistic about much of anything connected to this scam.
Don’t call BS on me, just because I try to make a serious point you don’t happen to like. I try to be scrupulously polite with everyone on these threads who’s courteous to me, but I will not stand for anything that smacks of insult or abuse.
I stand by my original post. That doesn’t mean I have to like it. Personally, what I’d prefer is an immediate military counter-coup, with a decapitation strike against the Leftist leadership.
Unfortunately, the wheels of justice often grind slowly — bad cliché but appropriate in this case.
I believe that Trump will ultimately have to use the military but I hope this does not happen.

The scapegoat will be one or two of the agencies themselves, but none of the people in the cabal. In other words Barr will eventually “indict” a couple of agencies for “lacking the proper management controls”.
That will be the thrust of it. The sheeple will continue to graze. Bread and circuses don’t you know.
Our experiment in democracy was nice while it lasted.
