If our NATO partner and ally by treaty Turkey is conducting genocide and war crimes...
by Jim Robinson

If our NATO partner and ally by treaty Turkey is conducting genocide and war crimes against the Kurds, then perhaps we should call on all our NATO partners and allies to condemn Turkey?

We are currently committed by treaty to defend TURKEY, NOT the Kurds.

We could tear up the treaties with Turkey and NATO and then enter into a mutual defense treaty with Kurdistan, but then what will Russia and Iran do? Oh, wait, there is no country named Kurdistan.

This is the way world wars are started.

USA, lost in confusion, with so many _allies_: China, Turkey, moderate Moslem nations.

The regime in Communist Red China slaughtered some millions score. The regime in Turkey several million Armenians. The moderate Moslem's to be faithful, must jihad and fund it.

In all this USA is representing good, somehow? One must fold themselves into a pretzel to continue to say, DC and its foreign affairs are good for anyone, much less USA.

Surely, it is one massive hallucination...

“...only one side is our treaty-approved ally (hint: it is not the Kurds).”

Sorry, but Turkey being a de jure member of NATO doesn’t mean we;re obligated to protect them from adverse consequences of their unprovoked invasion of a neighboring country. I hope they and their Islamist Arab allies participating in the invasion get the piss kicked out of them. I hope the Russians bomb them mercilessly in Syria and bomb any attempts at reinforcements. Any Turkish flights over Syria should be shot from the sky.

Well the PKK Kurdish faction are hardcore Communists, so AntiFa would be natural ideological allies.

If you get any corroboration, please post. You are right, it is impossible to know what is going on and what reports are real or purist fiction.

Some additional detail; amid an attack on this scale and the chaos throughout the area, the ISIS prisoners will disappear until they regroup https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7568915/Kurds-President-Assad-sign-deal-allow-Syrian-Army-joint-fight-against-Turkish-invasion.html

Exactly

Monetary leverage by all of NATO is the only key. Unless they want to vote Turkey out

Nobody is saying we are obligated to defend the Turks from the consequences of their invasion. The point was simply that the term “ally” is being thrown around a lot, so let’s not forget who by law is our ally.

Also, I think this situation is a lot less black and white than you imply. The purpose of the invasion, some think (see today’s NY Slimes for example), is that it will result in the Syrian government and Russian forces occupying the Kurdish area, which the Turks view as preferable to the status quo of Kurdish self-rule in the area. This is not some cartoon character good guy vs bad guy situation. And the Russians will not be fighting the Turks. Guaranteed, neither country wants that.

Hell you should have been around in 1974 when Turkey invaded Cypress, one NATO country invading another NATO country.

This crap is nothing new for Turkey.

We did not go to war over that either.

This is obviously the usual deep state/neocons getting hysterical over the thought that the US might in this one instance not butt in and spend vast amounts of its people’s blood and treasure fighting for.....well....nobody knows exactly.

Of course the fact that this is overwhelmingly supported by the American people is irrelevant.

For good measure the Democrats have pulled a complete 180 on this and now support perpetual war and demand our involvement since President Trump is the one to pull our troops out.

It isn't conducting genocide or war crimes, so I'm not concerned about it.

We need to be careful in this, sir.

There’s a whole lot of manipulating going on.

Just recently, there’s been evidence made available that ABC pulled video off youtube of Knobb Creek Machine Gun shoots as evidence of Turk slaughter of Kurds, and another news agency pushing around a vid of a Kurd mother crying and hollering about her dead baby boy that she brought in to bury. Said baby boy rolling his head around to look at the girls standing in the background and blinking his eyes while his mothers holds him.

There’s a lot of lies being told by the usual suspects.

This is looking more and more like a scripted tail wag dog attempt.

It's been a long time since I studied nuclear physics, but I'm dubious it's possible to fit a critical mass into something the size of a hand grenade. I think you'd have to make it out of pure unobtanium.

You’re forgetting that they’re MuzLames so little things like nuclear physics and reality don’t apply to them.
