Schiff: 'Republicans would like nothing better' than for impeachment inquiry witnesses to coordinate testimony
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) defending conducting closed interviews as part of the House impeachment inquiry, suggesting House Republicans wanted public hearings so witnesses could coordinate their testimony.
“The Republicans would like nothing better if witnesses could tailor their testimony to other witnesses,” Schiff told Margaret Brennan during an interview on CBS's "Face the Nation." He was responding to a question about GOP contentions that Democrats are selectively leaking information on their interviews.
“We may very well call some of the same witnesses in public hearings as well, but we want to make sure we meet the needs of the investigation and not give the president or his legal minions the opportunity to tailor their testimony and in some cases fabricate testimony to fit their interests,” Schiff stated.
Schiff suggested that the release of a White House summary of the call between President Trump and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky at the heart of a whistleblower complaint made it less vital the whistleblower testify before Congress.

Rudy has to be physically present in the Capitol for the House to effect an arrest. Otherwise the arrest warrant has to be executed by the DoJ Marshal Service. Holder was found in contempt but obviously DoJ would not execute any Congressional order. So as long as Rudy et al refuse to show up any arrest order is meaningless.
If he decides to show he can respond “I do not recall.” or invoke 5th amendment and force an immunity grant, followed by “I do not recall”

1) Have testimony in public so they can coordinate stories; or,
2) Watch Schiff staked to a red ant hill under a blazing desert sun, writhing in hideous death agony.
Schiff says the answer is #1.

As I’ve posted here in the past couple of weeks, I’m rereading David Schipper’s book “SOLD OUT” about the Clinton impeachment. Impeachment “”inquiry”” was not even spoken about BEFORE all the evidence Starr had released in tons of boxes to the House offices was accomplished and then it was to the House JUDICIARY COMMITTEE. A lot of you may recall the day the trucks pulled up to the office buildings shown on TV and unloaded box after box after box. That’s when the demonrats had no desire to even go to the room where they could read the evidence.
Schiff has no business even involving his committee in this matter and Nancy had no business allowing it to happen. It is not his job at the Intelligence Committee and that’s because there isn’t ANY INTELLIGENCE on that committee! OK, I made that up but it fits!
No, he just doesn’t want them to call witnesses at all.
What an ignorant excuse. First, witnesses are not precluded from making their testimonies public. Second, if these witnesses are so apt to shape their testimonies based on the testimonies of others, then they cannot be trusted to give truthful testimony in the first place.
Schiff is not very bright.
