A George Washington University law professor, who participated as a lawyer in a Senate impeachment trial, took aim at the media for dismissing allegations of corruption by former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
In a Saturday op-ed for the Hill, Jonathan Turley argued that "the mere mention" of Hunter Biden "seemingly triggers the vapors among cable TV hosts and their guests," pointing to several instances in which members of the media have quickly cut off guests or coverage of the Bidens' dealings in Ukraine.
"For news shows on MSNBC, CNN and other cable networks, nothing is more disgusting than the mention of what Hunter Biden actually was doing in Ukraine," he said. "What is most remarkable about the paucity of coverage of Hunter Bidens dealings is the conclusory mantra that 'this has all been investigated.'"
While Turley agreed that he does not "see compelling evidence" of Trump's claim that the elder Biden had a Ukrainian prosecutor, who was investigating the Ukrainian gas firm his son worked for while he was still vice president, fired, he argued that Hunter Biden's ability to land the job was nonetheless suspicious.
According to him, the hiring may counter "the narrative that theres 'nothing wrong' with Hunter Bidens dealings and that its all a 'lie' thats best to ignore."
"There is, however, that other problem of Hunter Biden landing a windfall contract with one of Ukraines most corrupt figures after his father took charge of potentially billions in U.S. loans and aid for Ukraine. That is what no one seems to want to discuss," he said. "Hunter Biden had no experience in the field but he did have a notable connection to the vice president, who publicly has bragged about making clear to the Ukrainians that he alone controlled U.S. aid to the country."
The Bidens' dealings with Ukraine have come under renewed scrutiny after President Trump asked the country's leader to look into the pair for potential corruption during a July phone call, which sparked a House impeachment inquiry into the president over concerns that he withheld military aid in exchange for the investigation.
The 2020 Democratic front-runner's campaign later demanded networks stop airing interviews with Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who has been investigating Biden's Ukraine dealings, and called on social media networks to remove Trump ads referencing Hunter Biden's contracts.
Turley is a liberal, but frequently an honest liberal.

Somebody show him the Youtube video of Joe Biden bragging about getting the prosecutor fired.
Et tu, Washington Examiner?
Exactly! What more proof do you need? The guy got fired and Slo Joe proudly confessed how he made it happen on camera.

LOL! Is he calling Joe Biden a liar?
Video: Joe Biden Brags About Getting Ukrainian Prosecutor Fired
I dig Professor Turley—but, gosh darn it, we have video of Quid Pro Joe bragging about getting the Ukrainian prosecutor fired.
They are paid to echo talking points and not talk ill of democrats
Theres too much use of personality hate Trump preferences as the excuse for quote, impeachment, unquote. Its a distraction from the real reason. What should be looked into and brought to public attention is the connection to the corruption used by the swamp creatures Trump would put a screeching halt to. And offered as the real reason why democrats are going after Trump.

KYIV. Oct 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden received $900,000 for lobbying activities from Burisma Group, Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada member Andriy Derkach said citing investigation materials.
Derkach publicized documents which, as he said, “describe the mechanism of getting money by Biden Sr.” at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine’s press center in Kyiv on Wednesday.
“This was the transfer of Burisma Group’s funds for lobbying activities, as investigators believe, personally to Joe Biden through a lobbying company. Funds in the amount of $900,000 were transferred to the U.S.-based company Rosemont Seneca Partners, which according to open sources, in particular, the New York Times, is affiliated with Biden. The payment reference was payment for consultative services,” Derkach said.

Acting like spoiled rotten children for the last several years has undoubtedly endeared the networks in voters minds Americans just love this kind of thing. “I wanna get me some of that!” is the overwhelming almost universal response.
You are correct. Turley’s politics lean left, but he is not a nut and he has a long record of calling out his fellow libs when they are wrong. A rare man indeed.
Leftists want to have their have their fingers in their ears.... No matter what is true ....
Turkey is merely another waiter serving turds for dinner to those who have ordered it from the menu.
Clinton word twist.
Turley has not personally seen the YouTube video of JB bragging.
So much to hide...
“This is what happens.”
“This is normal.”
