Scientist Behind The Navy's "UFO Patents" Has Now Filed One For A Compact Fusion Reactor
The Drive ^ | October 9, 2019 | Brett Tingley and Tyler Rogoway

The War Zone has been reporting on a set of bizarre patents assigned to the U.S. Navy that describe radical new technologies that could absolutely revolutionize the aerospace field, and frankly, the very way we live our lives. These include high-energy electromagnetic fields used to create force fields and outlandish new methods of aerospace propulsion and vehicle design that basically read as UFO-like technology. You can learn all about these patents, their viability, and the issues surrounding them in these exclusive features of ours. Now, the same mysterious Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division engineer behind those patents has produced another patent—one for a compact fusion reactor that could pump out absolutely incredible amounts of power in a small space—maybe even in a craft.

Energy dominance has become a cornerstone of American military policy as laboratories seek to develop the ‘Holy Grail’ of power generation: nuclear fusion. These attempts at developing stable fusion reactors utilize incredibly powerful magnetic fields in order to contain the nuclear reactions occurring inside. Creating a stable fusion reaction is difficult enough, but some laboratories are going even further by attempting to create compact reactors small enough to fit inside shipping containers or even possibly vehicles.

I continue to be skeptical: have seen more than a few patents by folks who were either just plain scamming or were innocently imaginative.

In one case, I was asked by the navy to testify against an “inventor” who sued the navy for the millions of dollars of “lost income” because the navy didn’t buy his technology.

I was the guy who evaluated his technology years before and it was total poppycock - completely unworkable and the inventor had no idea how it could have been applied.

He lost his case.

Would you believe that guy who sells solely Delorean cars is a Brit who settled in the US because the UK was too “commie” for him?

[to colonize the stars!!!!]

That could get a little hot. :)

Don’t worry, Mitt Romney is planning on running things from his base near Kolob. Wherever that is. In his magic underwear.

Townsend Brown was levitating discs electromagnetically back in the 40s. I’m sure the tech has improved since then.

Probably. It’s likely safer here too. Until the Democrats are able to turn the whole country into Baltimore and Detroit.

The series of “The Drive” articles is well worth reading. I took one of them to a relative who was truly one of the top world’s experts on superconductivity some years ago, and was met with stony silence and a slight smile which was what he always used to do when I’d ask him what he’d been working on (Pentagon-funded work).

As I recall, he wanted to “perform” (shall we say) with her in front of other people. Good grief.

A few years ago, flipping channels. I happen upon “Matlock.”

I thought OK, let it run (even thought Andy Griffith became a drooling goober for Barack Hussein Obama at the end).

And there she is. Her younger self. In a “Matlock.”

Teleportation would utterly revolutionize the world.

I could live in Montana and work in Scotland.

We could combat drought by channeling rivers through a Tele porter. We could alleviate floods the same way.

The national highway system (and eventually, roads in general) become redundant. Eventually cities would cease to exist because physical proximity no longer matters.

Same thing with the Brit who owns Triumph motorcycles. Settled here after meeting (and marrying an American woman) and Triumph is now-based in Georgia. Doesnt want to head back to the UK.

There's a company in Texas that bought the name, and a whole warehouse of new old stock parts.

Last I heard, they were going to build "brand new" DeLoreans from the parts.

On a trip to SoCal back in the mid-80’s, when I had that green stuff with dead Presidents on it, I had my pic taken next to a BTTF DeLorean at Universal Studios. Still have the pic.

Must have been the mid-80’s. Because, one day, in the late 1980’s (when I returned to college) I was changing from one freeway to another when, to my astonishment, a BTTF DeLorean passes me on the left (I was entering that freeway from the right). I couldn’t believe it but there it was.

you can tell none of these work b/c if they did, no way would the navy have filed a publicly-available patent describing how to do it

Um, no. John Bloor is the owner of Triumph Motorcycles, bought it at the bankruptcy auction, and he definitely lives in the UK. Swadlincote, South Derbyshire, to be precise.

Or Trump decided that screw the secrecy, people need this stuff. Would be very Trumpian for the US to hold the patents.

There have been several Back to the Future "Tribute" DeLoreans built over the years. One was even featured on Jay Leno's Garage.
