Trump's betrayal of the Kurds is a gift to Putin and Assad
CNN (Communist News Network) ^ | October 8, 2019 | Nick Paton Walsh, Elite Intelectual Journalist

President Trump has clearly been itching to leave Syria for months, once dubbing it nothing but "sand and death." As Trump himself was at pains to point out, he was elected on a promise to get out of "these ridiculous endless wars."

But the speed of his decision to withdraw US forces from northern Syria threatens to wreck almost every goal the US has in the Middle East just now.

Firstly, the sudden withdrawal of US forces -- designed to leave their erstwhile allies the Syrian Kurds as exposed to a Turkish advance as possible -- comes just as a regrouping by ISIS was taking shap

What about Assad? Is Assad OK with Turkey occupying a portion of his country?

It goes against the grain of Dhimmicrat and Republican Swamp Scum. To much money involved with the military industrial complex.

If Trump wanted the US to play a bigger military role with the Kurds, CNN would be outraged, Because Trump.

They are wrong about everything. I suspect that the Corrupt News Network is wrong about this too.

We only have 25 troops there. The UN Peacekeeping force can get a few hundred there in a couple of hours.

Hilarious that the same neocon traitors who CREATED the disasters in Syria and Iraq and CREATED ISIS are attacking Trump for wanting to end it.

If we wanted stability in Syria, Iraq and Iran, we should have left Saddam Hussein in power.

It’s not going to be easy. And yes, there will be some collateral damage (Kurds), but we have to do it.
We have to break that mind set that keeps us warring in defense of a third party that should be doing more to defend it’self in some fashion. Those countries are not our ‘colonies’ or territories. Some of those countries are quite wealthy (Saudi Arabia). Let them acquire defense through other or more direct means.

Man, there really are a bunch of people in this country that desperately want war.

As an aside I was at a party with a neocon and like all neocons he thought he was ever so much smarter than everyone else. So he took it on himself to explain it to me why perpetual war was necessary to preserve the natural order of things among nations. He was very casual about throwing the lives of our soldiers away, basically said "that's the way it goes." These are bad people.

My thoughts exactly. Judging by the characters who are slamming it, Trump must have done the correct thing.
Lot of money to be made by keeping US troops and US equipment in use in foreign locations.
Judging by the timbre of the squeals being issued, I think some little piggies have had their access to their troughs restricted.

There’s a perfectly appropriate word for anybody who believes, or even cares, what CNN’s brainless crowd of LEFTISTS says: STUPID.

CNN can be counted on to spin everything Trump does as a disaster. They no longer care how biased and hysterical they sound. They’ve completely given even trying to sound like a source of news, and are content blathering to the unhinged left.

We have troops in Germany, other European areas, add Korea, now these Muslim areas. What the hell have the KRAUTS done for US? The Koreans have done very little. The KATUSA soldiers in US units in Korea are LIARS and they get their job from politics. We had OSS in France, not Germany in WWII. We have no troops in France. OSS was in China, plus men like them in Korea. MACVSOG and the CIA were in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and we left. I can flat out say we trained every damn minority to include Montagnards, Nungs, Hmong, etc. to be great in combat. They got better training then many US troops. We cannot put our military everywhere when IDIOTS like GW BUSH attack Iraq. I never saw such rotten trained troops as our US Infantry, which is all Mech. Trump is right as the Kurds have been in Iran, Northern Iraq, Turkey, and Syria for many years.

“We only have 25 troops there”

Upon arrival home they can be detailed to the Mexican border.

Might do some real good there.

Major policy decisions, decades defining ones, delivered over Twitter out of absolute necessity. Reagan’s strategy of going over the heads of the Press, but no middle men.

Brilliant.

From pulling 25 troops?

Well, gee...why didn’t we just send 50 troops and conquer them?

Does a journalism major now require a Drama & Theater minor?
