Many times we at ANP have warned that if we thought liberals went crazy after the election of President Trump, then became downright unhinged during the confirmation hearing for Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, just to go into a freefall of depression when special counsel Robert Mueller could not establish any "collusion" with Russia on the part of the Trump campaign of 2016, we have seen nothing that will compare to the outright insanity we will observe by crazed liberals should President Trump win reelection.
While that prospect is yet more than a year away, watching the events over the past months, when we step back and look at the entirety and timing of said events, a picture emerges that tells us we may see that insanity long before the 2020 elections even get here.
By now someone would have to have been living under a rock to be unaware that House Democrats are pursuing an "impeachment inquiry," meaning an investigation into whether they think they can vote on articles of impeachment. It is also common knowledge that the Senate, controlled by Republicans, would have to have two-thirds agree and convict in order to remove President Trump and they do not have those numbers.
In other words, this is all for show, a calculated decision in an attempt to continue keeping a cloud over President Trump's head because they fear he will indeed be reelected in 2020.
Why now, over a year before the actual presidential election? Well, it all comes down to timing, and events that are beyond their control has them in panic mode.

True. But however good their salaries are, they aren’t high enough to be support the lives of luxury they live. They could live well enough on salaries. They become multi-millionaires in other nefarious ways.

All this isn't happening based on your time frame. This epic government corruption has been going on many decades. They've been weaponized and have controlled everything in government. This D.C. swamp is as big as the east coast and 10,000 feet deep.
It takes a bit of time to choke off and kill these snakes.
The time line I would like to see is all the nutsy, hysteric, histrionic, and cockamamie claims, schemes, plans, and accusations that have been thrown at Trump in the 1,064 days since the election.

When an investigation seems to take “forever” you know you are bound to be let down when it finally is released.
I fear that is what will happen when this long awaited DOJ IG report is issued.
It has been hyped for so long, you know it will be a “nothing burger” when it drops.
It *will* be fun to hear Plugs and his coked up offspring testify. I wonder how many times they'll have to be reminded that they're under oath.
At this point I think we want to drag it out as we are now getting into full swing presidential campaign mode anyhow why not have this to bludgen the democrats daily.

I agree, but as the election is close the thing I would like to bludgen them with is how many democrats are in jail for illegal behavior and not just piles of evidence.
Trials starting in early 2020 would be perfect in my opinion and we could roll up criminal after criminal trial as the year goes on.
Totally agreed, FRiend. I’m continually dismayed by way many FReepers don’t get this critical point.
And don’t mistake me for a “moderate” or even a closet RAT — as one individual did a couple weeks ago, which prompted an incandescently angry response that is totally out of character for me, but I believe was warranted by the slander. I even emailed Jim Robinson and offered to resign my membership, but got no response.
I bring this up because even the best-natured people can only be pushed so far. Conservatives have been slow to react to this crisis — or any political crisis really — because at heart we detest politics and just want to live our lives in peace.
Our foes no longer merit the term “liberal,” which in its classical form entails a devotion to individual liberty. The Founding Fathers were liberals by the standards of their time.
No, the proper term today is “leftist,” and to judge by the antics of Antifa, et. al., “totalitarian thugs” might be a better term.
While I believe Trump, Barr, Durham, and a core group of patriots are laying a trap for the RATs, it may be up to local militia groups to identify Antifa terrorists and subject them to vigilante justice.
The punishment for Antifa membership should be summary execution, with no exemptions based on youth or gender.
I read a fascinating article a few months ago — I forget where — speculating on the destruction a couple of well-positioned sniper teams could inflict on an Antifa riot.
So much for me being a “moderate.”
