Joshua Brown, a neighbor of Guyger and Botham Jean, the man she was convicted of killing late last year at the South Side Flats apartment complex, was gunned down around 10:30 p.m, the Dallas Morning News reports. Police confirmed that a fatal shooting took place around that time in the same location described by the Morning News but stopped short of identifying the victim as Brown.

Something about this case always seemed kind of ‘hinky’ to me.

If she wasn't so mental, Schwing!

I thought it would stop eventually.
As someone about 15 years your senior, I can tell you that it NEVER stops.
(Hopefully, though, you do become a little bit more discriminating :-)

Second Degree murder only requires that your actions were without regard to the consequences. She may not have planned to shoot the person she did, but she should have been aware that getting off at the wrong floor, going to an apartment that her key did not fit and that a welcome mat that was not hers should have led her to a proper conclusion that she was not at her apartment.
However, she disregarded all that and shot a man anyway.

I thought it would stop eventually. It doesn't, even when you can't.
Thought I'd give you something to look forward to...

Ill bet it is unrelated to Ambers shooting case. The police will never find or report any evidence that indicates in any way that it could be.

There’s no way to back out from that post. You laid your marker down. All you can do is show up tomorrow and figure almost nobody noticed. Almost nobody.
Cebu, as we say in these parts.

Good points from both you. I hadn’t thought about it that context.
Thank you.

Now, that's not true.
For example, if she's been bad, someone will want to take her home and punish her. Spanking, even.
And let's not forget the eternal truth...regardless of how hot she is, some guy somewhere is tired of her s#!t.
I'm not seeing the hotness myself. 5.5, maybe.

What was it about the witness’s testimony that made him “key”?

No there doesn’t need to be intent. Ever hear of negligent homicide? Manslaughter? Neither has intent, unless something worse gets pleaded down somehow.
She screwed the pooch big time. Shot first, asked questions later, may have tried to cover it up. She’s guilty as far as I am concerned.
