A social media post about a message projected on a Hephzibah High School classroom whiteboard referencing the Confederate flag has resulted in a teacher being placed on administrative leave.
The post from a parent of a student shows the projection that includes a Confederate flag and the statement, “a sticker you put on the back of your pickup truck to announce that you intend to marry your sister. Think of it like a white trash ‘Save The Date’ card.” It was reportedly used as an example of a story within a story.
According to the Richmond County School System, an investigation was conducted and the teacher was placed on administrative leave with pay pending administrative review. In a statement, the school system said it’s committed to creating an unbiased environment for students.
“The Richmond County School System is committed to creating a diverse, equitable learning environment for students,” the statement reads. “The language used in the example was unacceptable and has no place in our classrooms.”

Think about it. The context in which the flag was displayed was to mock it. If it can’t be displayed it can’t be displayed. One way or the other. Haters don’t get their way just because they hate. And, no, my ancestors were Yankees. One is buried at Gettysburg. People need to learn some goddam history. Those statutes were placed there to show the country had healed. Apparently it hasn’t.
But yes, I think it has healed, it’s just these haters who do stuff to GET THE MEDIA TO PAY ATTENTION TO THEM. Sorry for shouting but I want to emphasize that that is what it is all about. Scrambling for media attention! They get together with their other lefty friends and snigger -— look, it’s on TV! And that’s about it. It has healed and nobody likes these haters.

So did they remove the image because it has a confederate flag? Or because it was hate speech against white people?
