yup yup and more yup.

I grew up in the "malaise" and peak oil, and gas lines. Stupid me for believing that $hit.

Thank you Rick and Rock On America.

There was an article in the Dallas paper today about his “connections “ to Ukraine. I didn’t read it cause Dallas paper is so one sided I just didn’t bother.

He was here at Hanford the last couple days. I’d be surprised if he has any big plans.

The gummit had to close down lots of drilling to make Peak Oil come true and it still turned out false.

Yup. So many of these departments should not exist. Energy-related affairs should be under Interior. Why do we have 3 military-related departments, too ? Defense, Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security all should be one (Defense).

Anti-big-gu'mint-unless-it-helps-me-when-Im-office Perry is so anti-big-gu'mint that you won't a single change at the Energy Dept. when he's no longer there to "run" things.

Yup. Folks forget he was a rotten RINO Governor. 14 years he sat there like a King when he should’ve been out after 6 years and replaced with someone who wasn’t a RINO.

Re: America is a net exporter of crude for the first time ever

Sorry, that's incorrect.

People make that claim again and again on Free Republic.

It's possible America is a net exporter of “BTUs” - because of our very large exports of natural gas and bio-fuels.

But crude? Not happening.

Four Week Moving Average of “Net” Crude Imports:

3.5 million barrels per day.

https://www.eia.gov/petroleum/supply/weekly/pdf/table1.pdf
(middle of the page - “Petroleum Supply” - “Net Imports”)

It's important because crude oil runs almost our entire transportation system.

Re: Deputy Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette is anticipated to take over

I just searched his political background.

It's not encouraging.

Brouillette was Rep. Billy Tauzin’s legislative director for six years - when Tauzin was still a Democrat!

He worked two years for President George W. Bush in the Energy Department as a Congressional and Governmental liaison.

In 2017, when Brouillette was confirmed as Deputy Energy Secretary by the Senate, almost thirty Democrats voted for him.

I think that the statement that we are a net energy exporter gets translated to oil exports.

You are right.

“Just so he doesn’t go back to soliciting Californians to move to Texas.”

Amen Brother. I live near the $Billion Mile along US 121. It’s actually much more and longer than that. Cranes and concrete trucks everywhere, I wouldn’t mind the growth so much. My issue is with liberals moving in. They never learn. They’ve ruined the west coast, on the way with Colorado, Arizona. Now Texas. There’s a reckoning coming for sure...
