I have an account with Tdameritrade and Interactive Brokers. IB has been cheaper.
TD has been decreasing their commissions over the years. I remember back when I had to factor in over $60 round trip for one contract.
This should increase volatility. I can go in and out faster when only having to worry about .65 a contract to break even.
If you have a problem because your account is not high enough to deal with pattern day trading rule make it a cash account not margin.
