Rudy Giuliani:Trump Is Being "Framed," Document Shows Ukrainian Prosecutor Saying Under Oath...

Sunday on ABC's "This Week With George Stephanopoulos," President Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani produced a copy of a sworn witness statement from the Ukrainian prosecutor at the center of this week's impeachment inquiry: Viktor Shokin. Shokin claims that he was forced out of office as Ukraine's top prosecutor because he was leading a "wide-ranging corruption probe" into an energy company that was paying Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, $50,000 per month to sit on its board.

The affidavit was uploaded six months ago by "The Hill" columnist John Solomon and was reportedly produced as part of an ongoing criminal case in Austria.

"Why is this less credible than the whistleblower when this is direct knowledge and the whistleblower is hearsay?" Giuliani asked in the ABC interview.

Shokin alleges that he was "staunchly politically unaffiliated" and that then-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko ordered him to resign due to pressure from Joe Biden who was threatening to withhold $1 billion in subsidies to Ukraine "until I was removed from office."

Shokin says: "The truth is that I was forced out because I was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into Burisma Holdings…a natural gas firm active in Ukraine. Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, was a member of the Board of Directors. I presume Burisma, which was connected with gas extraction, had the support of the US Vice President Joe Biden because his son was on the Board of Directors."

The Biden campaign responded later Sunday afternoon with a letter to TV networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and Fox News to "demand" that Rudy Giuliani no longer be allowed on the air.

Big Media has already dug up dirt on and besmirched Rudy every way they can, so he’s free to take them on. :-)

If Biden is ‘demanding’ that Rudy be declared Persona non Grata, then he must be scared to death................

Let me guess, stephy ignored the facts and spun to another direction.

They’ve been framing Trump since the November 2016 Presidential Election. Everybody knows that.

Not a surprise... it’s had that feel - criminals framing an innocent man - from the start.

Democrats are disgusting...

The Senators and Congresspersons running for President who voted for impeachment are guilty of the same charge as President Trump is alleged; using their office (impeachment vote) to gain personal advantage (in election). What else did he miss? Well, VP Joe Biden in a video bragging about how he had his son’s Ukrainian prosecutor fired by withholding State Dept. funds with Hillary. Say, isn’t that the ‘crime’ alleged against the President? So where’s the impeachment of Biden and Obama as well?

The Rats’ deep fear is the only thing that still gives me hope that at least some will face consequences for their crimes against America.

Otherwise, our domestic enemies can continue to be “patient” until 2021 or 2025, when they can finish the job against Trump, America and us.

Rudy is correct....But how??

Whoever the whistleblower is had to be part of supplying the President with "Cliff Notes" BEFORE the phone call referring specifically to Biden, Crowdstrike etc etc.

Everything going BACK was a matter of record.

Where are the notes?

He did get set up. And so did Biden.

Might have something to do with Hillary meeting with Warren a couple weeks ago.

Stephanopoulos was in way over his head when he interviewed Rudy. For a man of Stephy’s stature, that’s not hard, but still ...

"Why is this less credible than the whistleblower"

Look at the letter next to the person's name identifying the political party.

The Democrats’ back is to the wall. They know that President Trump will be re-elected in 2020 by a landslide. They see this as their destruction, convinced, perhaps rightly so, that he will cast the Light of Truth on every Presidential Administration since Clinton’s. They have no choice but to go for broke, fight him with everything they’ve got. From their point of view, they must destroy him, for if they don’t, he will destroy them.

The whistleblower is claiming that his/her/it life is being threatened. Since no-one knows his/her/it name, how could his/her/it be threatened?

So where’s the impeachment of Biden and Obama as well?
When Biden was told he couldn't withhold funds he said "call the President" if you don't believe me.

So Obama is complicit in the cover up/ firing of the prosecutor too.

Many deep state coup plotters need to be tried and executed; otherwise we will be become serfs to support their Socialist dreams which will (of course) enrich them.

Probably by his/her/he/she/it co-conspirators.

So now he won't testify??

Watch...we'll hear from the attorneys that he will give an affidavit that what has been published is the true complaint....and no more.

I’m not sure that I would put a whole lot of stock in affidavits by Shokin. This NYT article from 2016 (so it is uncontaminated by spin for the present imbroglio) lays out some of the problems with him.

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/30/world/europe/political-stability-in-the-balance-as-ukraine-ousts-top-prosecutor.html

For what it is worth, I have been the victim of corruption in the Ukrainian government back in 2004 - 2007.

Not quite. The FBI has been trying to frame Trump since Summer of 2016 with Operation Hurricane Crossfire, and the DNC and Hillary campaign sine 2015...

I can sort of understand some FReepers still not getting the entire picture, but hopefully Trump, Rudy et al are merely playing dumb. At this point in time, claiming political sabotage is like complaining the Nazi's Atlantic submarine warfare was unfair.

Remember, all is fair in love and war. The critical, salient point is that these acts transcend any concept of political process ie to guide the common weal. Rather, it should be recognized these are acts of war specifically designed to undermine the republic so that the victors can claim victory and seize the prize of total rule. Period.the.end.

Within this context, everything begins to make perfect sense, and all emotional engagement becomes void. C'est la guerre: it's the war. Does anyone really believe what has transpired over the last 4 years can be walked back, and everything then goes back to "normal"? No, so prosecute the enemy action as the war it actually is. The domestic enemies certainly are, and have absolutely no compunction about pushing the nation to and over the ledge.
