LLDF contends the family wasn't given due process and was presented with inadequate information about organ donorship.
Vati was admitted to the hospital on Sept. 11 and declared "brain dead" by doctors four days later.
"Immediately the Donor Network of America swooped into claim Ruben's organs," LLDF said.

Not any more.
If LLDF intended to make the Donor Network of America look like vultures, mission accomplished.
Me either
Brain death is a contrived excuse to protect doctors out to make a big buck harvesting organs.
3 years ago I called for a dental appointment because I lost a filling. No answer. I tried for several days, gave up and called a different dentist.
My wife told me his office was closed.
3 months ago (3 years later), I found out his office was open so I got an appointment and had my teeth cleaned.
I found out that hed had a heart attack and then complications and went into a coma. After 3 weeks in a coma, the hospital declared him brain dead and started to schedule organ harvesting. Two days later as they were about to start cutting; he sat up, and got out of bed.
Thats pretty good. Going from brain dead to walking around and going back to his dental practice.
Isn’t World Nut Daily on FR’s list of forbidden sources? I seem to remember them being blacklisted.
Walter Williams makes a good case for people selling their organs.
Imagine knowing that you organs may be worth $30,000 to your family upon your death. You’d probably live healthier and if they were viable, leave something more behind.
Plus, you own you kidney and liver. Why should one be compelled to simply donate them?
This is rare. Ive witnessed people change their minds and no one contested it. Right in front of me.
No one got angry, no one pressured anyone.
The people in the hospital will tell you when its time and they will tell you how long you can wait before the organs are not viable.
I respect patients views on this. Do it, or dont do it. Thats up to you. Honestly, the hospital staff doesnt care one way or the other.
Presenting all medical staff as ghouls who simply want to cut you up is not accurate and infantile. So, basing your opinion on bullshit internet stories is just not an accurate description of the process and the people.
The ONLY thing I would say is put this stuff in writing; attach it to your health care proxy; and define the terms. And if your family member wants to do this, dont insert your religious or ignorance into the equation during a hyper emotional time.
It isn't that these are isolated cases, rather it has long been standard practice.
And that was long before so called "Assisted Suicide" laws.
Having already died. Left my body and returned, I would never be an organ donor.
Ever watch the movie “Heaven can Wait” with Warren Beatty?
Re: Going back to being a dentist
Yes, it is remarkable. He absolutely could not have been seriously brain damaged. Dentistry is surgery and requires superior mental clarity and fine muscular dexterity.
Use to. Not now.
Chances are by the time you die the organs are not going to be viable. This stuff applies mostly to accidental deaths. There was nothing of use on my 75 year old dad or my 89 year old mom.
Never have and never will.
Then dont read it.
Welcome to states that subscribe to Obamacare......death panels? Yes, Maam!
Abortion, infanticide, euthanasia all being practiced now by the left. It’s happening now. $hit on the “slippery slope.” We done slipped down that slope long ago and we down the bottom already.
“Dentistry is surgery and requires superior mental clarity and fine muscular dexterity.”
I did think about that. I didn’t think he could screw up the cleaning, so I had the cleaning. He did a good job and I didn’t see any evidence of physical or mental impairment, so I had a cavity filled. He has all his faculties and did a good job. I’m glad he’s back at work, because he’s a nice guy and he’s trying to rebuild his practice from scratch.
New age crap
Not the point. FR has certain sites they don’t allow posting from because of the nature of some of their reporting. I’m simply asking for consistency if that is the case.
I have nothing against the poster or the contents of the post.
