Here’s the meat and potatoes of it all. President Trump gave a speech to the UN that managed to piss off everyone in the world who is a left wing nut job or radical of many stripes. The other item floating around that could be plausible is that RBG's health is grave, and she won't be around much longer. Impeaching Trump could be used to prevent him from replacing her for as long as the Democrats need to keep him from doing so. Given the head-long rush into impeachment by Democrats, I think there may be some validity to this theory.

Regardless, I think we are in a constitutional crisis, or very close to one, because the Democrats refuse to accept the outcome of an election that took place three years ago. They (and their pals in the media) are currently holding the country hostage until they get their way. As for Barr, he is a deep state hack until he proves otherwise.

Here's my theory.

1. The Democrat primary debates are not going well. Reaction is negative to the extreme left-wing lurch of proposals that give away hard-earned taxpayer money, and it's just getting worse by the day as the candidate race to out-do each other.
2. Even this recent Quinnipiac poll shows that Independents don't think much of the Democrat field, with only Biden, Warren, and Buttigieg having a positive like/dislike rating.
3. Despite liking Warren, Independents think the economy is doing well, not getting worse, and are better off than they were in 2016. It would be hard to motive this group to raise taxes to give away free stuff to illegals, recent graduates, and the non-working.
4. Independents do not support impeachment 58-34 in this poll.
5. The only thing left for Democrats is to sweep President Trump off of the ballot, in order to clear the way for whichever Democrat emerges from the primary. If Trump runs, he wins.
6. And RGB. We're at the 2-minute warning. The clock is ticking on that one.

As long as the polls continue to show that Trump is making improvements that have real impact on everyday people, the Democrats become more aggressive in trying to get rid of him. That's why this is going on now.

I have a degree in Political Science, and I am a card-carrying Libertarian.
I’ve been studying politics and political history for the past 30 years. My specialty is U.S. Presidents. That said, I hope that the House of Representatives impeaches Trump. Let me tell you what will happen next!

1. The House can pass articles of impeachment over the objections of the Republicans, and refer to the Senate for trial.

2. The Senate will conduct a trial. There will be a vote, and the Republicans will vote unanimously, along with a small number of Democrats, to not convict the President. Legally, it will all be over at that point.

3. However, during the trial, and this is what no one is thinking about right now, the President’s attorneys will have the right to subpoena and question ANYONE THEY WANT.. That is different than the special counsel investigation, which was very one-sided. So, during the impeachment trial, we will be hearing testimony from James Comey, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr, Glenn Simpson, Donna Brazille, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Christopher Steele, Hillary Clinton, John Brennan, James Clapper, and a whole host of other participants in this whole sordid affair and the ensuing coverup activities. A lot of dirt will be dug up; a lot of truth will be unveiled. Finger pointing will occur. Deals will start being made, and suddenly, a lot of democrats will start being charged and going to prison. All this, because, remember, the President’s team will now, for the first time, have the RIGHT to question all of these people under oath - and they will turn on each other. That is already starting.

4. Lastly, one more thing will happen, the Senate will not convict the President. Nothing will happen to Trump. Most Americans are clueless about political processes, the law, and the Constitution. Most Americans believe that being impeached results in removal from office. They don’t understand that phase 2 is a trial in and by the Senate, where he has zero chance of conviction. Remember, the Senate is controlled by Republicans; they will determine what testimony is allowed — and **everything** will be allowed, including: DNC collusion with the Clinton campaign to fix the election in favor of Hillary, the creation of the Trump dossier, the cover up and destruction of emails that very likely included incriminating information.
They will incriminate each other for lying to the FISA court, for spying and wiretapping the Trump campaign, and for colluding with foreign political actors, especially George Soros. After the Senate declines to convict the President, we will have an election, and Trump will win. It will be a backlash against the petulance, temper tantrums, hypocrisy and dishonesty. Even minorities will vote for Trump, because, for the first time, they will see that democrats have spent 2+ years focused on maintaining their own power, and not doing anything at all about black murders in Chicago, homelessness, opioids, and other important issues that are actually killing people. And, we will spend the following four years listening to politicians and pundits claim that the whole impeachment was rigged.

So let’s move on to impeachment.

I think this is an opportunity for the Dems to throw Biden under the bus. My reason is he is making big errors continuously and efforts to rehabilitate him are getting complicated. With this latest episode involving his son, it is a stain they cannot remove. It sinks his nomination and they need to get him off the stage before it rubs off on all of them. The impeachment thing is just a diversionary tactic to buy them time. I think they will throw Lie-a-watha in the ring and hope their Cultural Marxist tactics will carry her through. She will need some prep work to be ready for the big show against Trummp. I don’t think she has a chance even with their Cultural Marxist tactics.

It seems clear that you don't have the highest opinion of Barr.   I am a strong supporter of Trump, but one weak area in all his valiant efforts so far, seems to be his choices for various positions on his team (including many people who are gone now).   Is there no trusted person around Trump who can help to guide him better in these various staff picks, so he doesn't get stuck with a bunch of deep-state traitors?

On a totally unrelated topic, do you remember what LSMFT means in "pre-netspeak"?   (And, no, it's not an obscenity!)
