Friends, relatives, sanity, and health: The costs of politics (Liberals suffer mental distress)
PLOS ^ | September 25, 2019 | Kevin B. Smith , Matthew V. Hibbing, John R. Hibbing

Political scientists have long known that political involvement exacts costs but they have typically defined these costs in relatively narrow, largely economic terms. Though anecdotal evidence suggests that the costs of politics may in fact extend beyond economics to frayed personal relationships, compromised emotional stability, and even physical problems, no systematic evidence on these broader costs exists. We construct and validate batteries of survey items that delineate the physical, social, and emotional costs of political engagement and administer these items to a demographically representative sample of U.S. adults. The results suggest that a large number of Americans (read Liberals) believe their physical health has been harmed by their exposure to politics and even more report that politics has resulted in emotional costs and lost friendships.

Here's the upshot.

* Conservatives who are engaged in politics exhibit better mental health than liberals * :

"The costs associated with being politically active may go beyond time, effort and money, as previously thought.

A new study released Wednesday suggests the cost of politics includes "friends, relatives, sanity, and health."

The results of the study suggest younger people and men are more likely to see negative health effects, like stress or fatigue, due to being politically aware than older people or women.

Politically right-leaning people reported fewer negative health effects related to politics than people who were politically left-leaning.

Based on the data, the study estimates nearly 94 million American adults are stressed by politics, 44 million have lost sleep due to politics and 28.5 million have experienced adverse physical health effects because of politics.

Americans say politics is hurting their physical, emotional health: study

My guess would be that conservatives who are NOT engaged in politics also exhibit better mental health than liberals.

Face it . . . liberals (are crazy) generally have poor mental health.

In my personal observations, snowflakes and older Leftist women are the most unglued and nasty.

Seems like a chicken/egg question.

That said, liberals are motivated by hatred for the A.ericans, while the Americans are .otivated by love for A.erica

Yes, but consider the ICE facility shooter, the guy who shot Steve Scalise, etc.

Awhile back I went to a dinner party hosted by an older liberal woman. Well, someone at the table happened to mention Trump. Our host went insane! She immediately jumped up from her chair and began pacing the room, yelling about Trump and waving her hands.

It was quite a sight to see. And not in a good way.

Before we gloat over this finding, let’s just remember that this also means that people on the other side are more likely to resort to extreme physical measures against their opponents (the whole “they hate us and want us dead” thing).

PING!

So 94 million are estimated to have problems sleeping due to politics. This was determined in this study run during the spring of 2017.

Around that time the populace of the United States was roughly 320 million. 31% of Americans identified as a demoncRat during that period. That amounts to roughly 99 million Americans.

Strange how closely these two figures match up. 94% vs 99%...

At the time of this post the following is referenced on Google:

"Gallup. As of October 2017, Gallup polling found that 31% of Americans identified as Democrat, 24% identified as Republican, and 42% as Independent."

Oops, correction: Should have been 94 & 99 million, instead of percents in what is now paragraph four in this post, paragraph three in the original.

ALL leftist LIB nitwits are mentally ill. It is merely a matter of degree. They should never be given any position of authority or responsibility. They are malignancies upon civil society everywhere.
