Ukraine's former prosecutor general said in a new interview that his investigation into Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, was abandoned after turning up no evidence of wrongdoing on Hunter Biden's behalf.
Yuri Lutsenko, who resigned earlier this year and now at the center of the scandal surrounding President Trump's efforts to convince Ukraine's president to launch an investigation into Joe Biden, denied that his investigation was ended due to pressure from the Obama administration in an interview with The Washington Post.
“From the perspective of Ukrainian legislation, he did not violate anything,” Lutsenko said of Hunter Biden. “Hunter Biden cannot be responsible for violations of the management of Burisma that took place two years before his arrival."
Lutsenko told the Post that until his resignation in August, he never received any aid from U.S. investigators, even following Trump's July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky which has become the center of House Democrats' impeachment inquiry.
“No American groups came to Ukraine for an investigation," he said.

Not really. Most countries including allegedly corrupt ones like Ukraine has by far higher legal standards and their societies are much less tolerant about brazen corruption. Of course they are corrupt but they invent schemes for coverup and overall not near as brazen as US politicians who seem like don’t care at all.
If Biden-like scandal took place anywhere outside US or sub-Saharan Africa it would have been guaranteed prison for everyone involved.
That is the question: Why did Burisma hire Biden? - for what purpose? - how did Biden’s name become known to them? - how did the salary paid compare to others doing comparable work? - etc.
And he has the deposit slip to prove it.

Of course Hunter didn’t commit a crime in the Ukraine but that’s not the issue. Did Hunter and his pop commit a crime in the US?
