Prominent GOP consultant Mike Murphy claimed on Wednesday that he was told by a Republican senator that the majority of Republican senators "would vote to impeach" President Donald Trump if they could do so anonymously.
"These Senate Republicans, should the Democrats vote impeachment, which is far more likely than not, are going to be pinned down to a yes/no answer," Murphy, who previously advised Republican politicians including Mitt Romney, John McCain and Jeb Bush, said in an interview with MSNBC.
"The politics of it will get worse and worse for Trump," the Republican political consultant, who has long been critical of Trump, said.

These morons can’t keep a secret if they had to. They have openly, illegally, disclosed private phone conversations without a legal tap, from a top government official that requires secure lines, by a person that has not been identified that admitted they overheard someone talk about it that also was not identified. I’d say their COMSEC techniques aren’t real good considering the whole world knows only what the libs want them to know at this point. Not to mention their OPSEC screw up. And now that the transcript has been released in full, and there was no mention of the election and nothing other than trying to dispel a rumor, concerning those on the other end of the call, they have less than nothing and are open for illegal releases of sensitive information they were trained not to do and signed off to that effect.

I believe it. Pols don’t get to be US Senator unless they’re totally corrupted. The all have friends and relatives who benefit from their votes. I’m sure they aren’t real thrilled that this investigation is going to be about benefits from foreign mischief.

If they did something like that GOP turn out would be so low they would be gone pronto next election - even the relatively safe seats, Rat turn would beat GOP turnout and you would have a new Rat senator.
