Prominent GOP consultant Mike Murphy claimed on Wednesday that he was told by a Republican senator that the majority of Republican senators "would vote to impeach" President Donald Trump if they could do so anonymously.
"These Senate Republicans, should the Democrats vote impeachment, which is far more likely than not, are going to be pinned down to a yes/no answer," Murphy, who previously advised Republican politicians including Mitt Romney, John McCain and Jeb Bush, said in an interview with MSNBC.
"The politics of it will get worse and worse for Trump," the Republican political consultant, who has long been critical of Trump, said.

I don’t think so. I think that the number 30 is low. I have no doubt that if push came to shove that there would be enough votes to convict him. I know how the Republicans operate. Standing up to the Democrats is not their forte. Wanting to please the Democrats, coupled with their hatred of President Trump.....

We don’t have an impeachment and we won’t likely get one either. Impeachment requires a vote in the full house. They had one and they lost. What they have now is an impeachment investigation. Which is nothing more than renaming other investigations. So its impeachment in name only. They will label everything the congress does as impeachment investigation. But they will never vote in the full house.
Proof we have a third party President. Go, Trump!

What makes you believe that most Republican senators don’t privately agree with Romney, and hate Trump?
It’s not as if Romney is an outsider from the GOP. He was their presidential nominee for goodness sake! And that was after they nominated McCain!!! Yet you somehow think the GOP is a Conservative party when they turn to Romney McCain and Bush family for leadership?
