Prominent GOP consultant Mike Murphy claimed on Wednesday that he was told by a Republican senator that the majority of Republican senators "would vote to impeach" President Donald Trump if they could do so anonymously.
"These Senate Republicans, should the Democrats vote impeachment, which is far more likely than not, are going to be pinned down to a yes/no answer," Murphy, who previously advised Republican politicians including Mitt Romney, John McCain and Jeb Bush, said in an interview with MSNBC.
"The politics of it will get worse and worse for Trump," the Republican political consultant, who has long been critical of Trump, said.

Agree. I posted on a Facebook post earlier that I would punish ALL GOP politicians if a small handfull of congresscritters goes along with this...and here is my reason for this.
I no longer care about the "good guys" in congress. I live in Texas - and these so-called "good-guys" have voted for Speaker Strauss and now Speaker Bonnen to be my Speaker of the House in the State of Texas - which the way our government works here 0 is more powerful than the governor.
The so-called "good-guys" in congress shake Mitten's hand - and pat him on the back and probably have lunch with him...and put him on 4 committees and numerous sub-committees. He - and others House GOP members like him - should be shunned. They are not. They are all part of the same club and thus - in my eyes - they are NOT good guys. That's why - in a way - I have more respect for dims than I do the GOP. They don't let their people off the reservation. They keep them in line on important issues. They know how to shun people properly.
We need to clean house....and saying, "well, it's everyone else's guy not mine," is part of the problem.
Of this I have no doubt whatever!
The GOP did not want him as their nominee let alone as their president.
You can call them Bushies, Bush leaguers, RINOs, GOPe, Rockefeller Republicans, whatever. The fact is they are REPUBLICANS and no matter what the MSM says, that does NOT make them Conservatives.

The Senate doesn’t impeach anyone. If the reporter and/or Senator don’t know this then they are ignorant and should not be listened to.
