An unnamed Senate staffer told the Washington Beacon’s Stephen Gutowski that gun control legislation is dead for now, as “the impeachment inquiry” is looming.
The universal background checks, “assault weapons” ban, and other gun controls that were front and center and presented as critical for public safety are now back-burner items.

He was asked about Pelosi just now. He put the onus of killing “gun safety” on her. I like this strategy. This puts a perceived cost to the left for this lunacy. Who knows if Trump was serious about it or not. I doubt he was, hopefully the left thinks he was.

Anyone who cannot state a standard set of gun safety rules (esp Cooper’s Four Rules) has no business discussing “gun safety” legislation.
