WRONG conclusion. The correct conclusion would be "-- means efforts in Washington to restrict gun ownership WILL FAIL."

Second, who tells a stranger in a poll that they own guns?

Third, do you really think that people in the Rocky Mountains don’t have as many weapons as the South?

Another way to view the results (likely highly understated, of course) is that gun owners are more likely to get married.

Just because I bought the gun, thus “own it”, doesn’t mean it’s not loaded and on mama’s bed table. A lot of guns are passed down in families too. then of course who thinks I’m going to admit to some pollster if I own a gun these days. BTW, the NRA was founded to assure that black southeners could own a gun.

Really? My northern state allows 15 year olds to carry concealed with a permission slip signed by Mom or Dad. They can’t buy a firearm, but they can carry one legally. Beat that.
