Nadler To Lewandowski: Don't Tempt Me. We'll Hold You In Contempt Of Congress

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) threatened to hold former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski in contempt of Congress because of his "refusal to answer questions" relating to the Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report.

"Mr. Lewandowski, your behavior in this hearing room has been completely unacceptable. It is part of a pattern of a White House desperate for the American people not to hear the truth," Nadler said. “I’ve been asked several times today whether the Committee will hold you in contempt. It is certainly under consideration."

"There is a far more troubling level of contempt on display here today and that is President Trump's role in your refusal to answer questions. The pattern of obstruction laid out in the Mueller report has not stopped," Nadler explained. "You showed the American people in real time that the Trump administration will do anything and everything in its power to obstruct the work of the Congress. The president's lawyers are sitting behind you right now to make sure that you do not answer us."

According to Nadler, Congress is focused on exposing "corruption, obstruction and abuse of power."

"Make no mistake, we will hold President Trump accountable," Nadler concluded.

Lewandowski refused to answer questions relating to previous conversations with President Trump. He cited executive privilege as his reason for not providing insight.

From The Hill :

The remarks came after Democrats tussled for more than five hours with Lewandowski over his involvement in a possible obstruction episode as laid out in special counsel Robert Mueller 's report. In particular, they sought to have the longtime Trump ally answer questions about Trump asking Lewandowski to pass along a message to then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions in 2017 that urged him to reverse his recusal and set limits on the Russia probe.

Lewandowski ultimately turned to then-White House official Rick Dearborn to deliver the letter. Dearborn did not ultimately follow through, telling investigators that the request made him uncomfortable.

JUST IN: House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler says that holding Corey Lewandowski "in contempt" is "certainly under consideration."

"Mr. Lewandowski, your behavior in this hearing room has been completely unacceptable." http://abcn.ws/2Ap9a1x

Wake me when the DOJ actually successfully prosecutes ANYONE (beyond an Epstein deal).

Bombshell: Jerry Nadler’s Son Works For Firm Suing Trump! He Must Recuse!

(Tea Party PAC) – How is this even legal?

Rep. Jerry Nadler, the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, has been targeting Trump for new investigations since the Mueller investigation didn’t pan out the way Dems are hoping.

As it so happens, however, Nadler’s son is working for a firm that is suing President Trump.

The Mueller team was full of conflicts of interest, with numerous members of the investigative committee having donated to, worked for, or represented the Hillary team or the Democratic Party.

It was never a fair investigation, and now, Nadler’s clearly won’t be either.

Big League Politics reports:

Democrat congressman Jerry Nadler, leading the investigative charge against President Donald Trump, has a son whose firm is trying to get access to Trump documents for their clients in numerous lawsuits against President Trump.

“Congressman Jerry Nadler has a big conflict,” our source tells Big League Politics in Washington, D.C.

“His son (Michael Nadler) got a job with Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP in 2018. That’s convenient because Jerry Nadler and the Democrats just won control of the House in 2018. Gibson Dunn & Crutcher hire Jerry’s son and Gibson Dunn & Crutcher are the main Nemesis against Trump and the Trump Administration on numerous lawsuits. Now the Nadler family will gain access to thousands of Trump documents via Jerry’s subpoenas!,” our insider stated.

According to Michael Nadler’s LinkedIn account, he does indeed work for Gibson Dunn and Crutcher:

He also boasts about having been given an award for helping sanctuary families.

Nadler also brags about having worked for far-left New York City Mayor, Bill de Blasio as well as the disgraced former New York Attorney General, Eric Schneiderman, who resigned after being accused of sexual abuse by at least four women.

Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, as a well-established anti-Trump law firm, also represented the insufferable Jim Acosta after his press pass to the White House was revoked.

They also sued US State Department on behalf of the Center for Reproductive Rights as the group attempted to dig up details of the Trump admin’s alleged changes to regularly issued government human rights reports. The group was displaced that Trump had taken Obama-era reporting out of a government report detailing concerns on abortion “rights.”

Also, the law firm offered to represent Trump sex accusers for free in the days ahead of the 2016 election.

This is a massive conflict of interest for Jerry Nadler, and he should immediately recuse himself from anything having to do with President Trump!

I was waiting for Lewandowski to remind Nadler that congressmen do not order citizens who are not in the employment of government to do anything... ever. At best, he can only politely request an answer. Nadler could not survive the fallout of having a man who is not in the employee of the government locked in an office against his will.

Lewandowski could have said, “Yes, no matter what I said today you are likely planning to hold me in contempt, unless I did a Soviet style denunciation of President Trump. Sorry to disappoint your farce.”

That’s ok. He unwittingly types his own epithets. To wit:

According to Nadler, Congress is focused on exposing “corruption, obstruction and abuse of power.”

How ironic.

That was most impressive, Corey is cool as a cucumber under pressure.

Berke tried everything he could think of and came up nothing other than frustration.

Berke even had help from a female Dem a couple of times. :^)

Thanks for your post and linking the video.

Only to the (R)N(C) brigade would telling the TRUTH == ‘whining’.

And, YES, they *are* elected to do the bidding of the electorate (as Constitutionally allowed). Maybe the (R)N(C) should try it sometime; they might not lose as often as they do.
