Cokie Roberts, the veteran journalist, political commentator and author, died, ABC News announced Tuesday morning, citing her family. She was 75.
"We will miss Cokie beyond measure, both for her contributions and for her love and kindness," her family said in a statement.

I certainly didn't always agree with her but always enjoyed watching and listening to her. At age 76, reports like this always remind me or my own mortality.

Don’t think she is considered Number 3 in the Eddie Money, Ric O. death prediction.
Anyone know what she died from? At that age, cancer or heart attack are good guesses.
Just looked. She had breast cancer. She died from complications from it..whatever that means
I always thought her name was really cool. And she appeared to be a really nice person.

Her voice seemed to get more and more croaky over time.I would have thought throat or respiratory issues.
My Mother died of the same complications, name the cancer spread to the bones and other places. Terrible way to go.

Her father was Hale Boggs, dem House Majority leader. Went missing 40 years ago on a plane flight in Alaska.

Similar thing happened to my dad. A lot of the drugs used to treat cancer have nasty side effects, including clot issues.
Her father was Hale Boggs, who was supposedly going to be the next Speaker of the House, until he and his pilot disappeared in Alaska on a hunting trip. The plane was never found..................
