Top 2020 Democratic contenders Kamala Harris and Julian Castro announced on Sunday that Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh "must be impeached," after a new, uncorroborated and disputed allegation of sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh surfaced in a New York Times piece.

Nevertheless, Democrats announced a new effort to topple Kavanaugh. Impeaching Kavanaugh would require a majority vote in the Democratic-controlled House, and a highly unlikely two-thirds vote in the GOP-majority Senate would then be needed to remove him from the bench.
"I sat through those hearings," Harris wrote on Twitter. "Brett Kavanaugh lied to the U.S. Senate and most importantly to the American people. He was put on the Court through a sham process and his place on the Court is an insult to the pursuit of truth and justice. He must be impeached."
During the hearings, Harris strongly implied that she knew Kavanaugh had improperly discussed Special Counsel Robert Mueller's then-ongoing probe with a Trump-connected lawyer.
Harris provided no evidence for the bombshell insinuation, which went viral on social media and sent the hearing room into stunned silence, even as she directly accused Kavanaugh of lying under oath.
Castro echoed that sentiment and said Kavanaugh had committed perjury.
"It’s more clear than ever that Brett Kavanaugh lied under oath," Castro wrote. "He should be impeached. And Congress should review the failure of the Department of Justice to properly investigate the matter."

I think the FISA judges themselves are complict and corrupt in the whole dealio and it could expose John Roberts who doesn't seem to give a hoot courts he oversees are being subvert as to overturn a presidential election - you know nothing serious or anything.
I think Chief Justice Roberts is dirty, I hope president Trump has him by the short hairs and makes him dance like the organ grinders monkey he is.

Yep, they need 20 REPUBLICAN VOTES. So far they have one (the bitch from Alaska) and, maybe, just maybe could get a few more. But not 20, not even close.
If I were the head on the RNC, I would let the dems know through back channels that unless this stops the GOP is going full jihad on every democratic nominee clear down to the local dog catcher. Faked and planted evidence, concocted twitter posts, and paid for witnesses. Complete and utter chaos ready to be unleashed.
Ford was a fraud, anyone could see that.
Is this accusation a sign RBG is about gone, and Dems are attempting to prepare the political battlefield in advance of that confirmation fight?

Jerrold Nadler was about to pop his cherry on impeaching Trump.
But Nancy Pelosi steps in and tells Nadler to cool his heals on impeaching Trump. But Nadler was already up to his eyeballs on his committee with impeachment rules and proceedings.
So the word goes out from the DNC to find a suitable "victim" from democRATic central casting to make up some penis waving allegations against Kavqanaugh from 3 decades ago.
And then follow that by sending Harris and Castro out to screech to impeach Kavanaugh instead because of these recently surfaced fake accusations.
Nadler still gets to lose his virginity on impeachment and the democRATS have a chance to remove Kavanaugh from the bench, or at minimum, sully his good name some more.
Killing two birds with one stone.

This reminds me, I don’t recall seeing any public opinion polls at the time, or since, as to whether the public believed Christine Ford, and the related question as to whether Kavanaugh should be confirmed.
is this because such polling was devastating to Democrats, so they chose to not release such polling publicly?

I know people in the NYC area that know Nadler pretty well. They claim that Nadler really isn’t big on impeachment, but is placating younger members as a kind of safety valve. I have never believed that, but who knows?

With a presidential election year fast approaching, and such a subject being a major political issue, do they really think that reviving this subject will help them politically??? Really???
It is because of the Presidential Election year they are doing this. Personally, I don’t think RBG will make it to 2024. Therefore the demonrats need to mount this attack against Kavanaugh to stir up the base. This is about as fake as the good ole professor’s allegations were. Since they won’t name the accuser, they have had several years to find a former classmate that allegedly saw this happen. Notice I used the word “allegedly” while the fake news has left this word out of their story. it is all in an attempt to get voters to the polls or just to the bus
With RBG going down they need to drum up the memory of Kavanaugh to communicate to their base that they don’t want another conservatibe in the w.

The purpose is to discourage anyone who opposes them from accepting the nomination, lest their family gets dragged through the same thing.
Skanka and Julio know IT’S OVER for them personally and for any Rat who becomes the nominee.
Trump will be re-elected in 2020 and he will appoint one or two more Supreme Court justices. Skanka and Julio know this is inevitable, and it’s driving them way beyond the brink of insanity.
In my view RBG won’t be with us long but have no clue if that’s what this is about.
